(The) Indiana (Game)

I’m already annoyed at the media coverage

The Mendoza is from Miami, wasn’t offered, no stars, the entire narrative that he’s this quirky but good figure getting his chance

I’m sick of the sports media making these stories into stories of perseverance and how certain players are just mythical

Just stop

He’s getting paid to play football now and he’s not saving the world.

He’s a college football paid player who because he has a talent his life is going to become and is easier than most people’s

If he wasn’t a football player no one cares

Just stop already

It’s going to be so interesting cause heatherman was cignettis DC at JMU. They know each other and their playbook. Going to be the ultimate coaching matchup especially with Brock giving Indiana all of dawsons plays
There is 15 games of film on us this year. and 3 years total of Dawson here at Miami. And 3 years of game film of Beck starting at QB.

Brock Schott wont share anything on our playbook that is not public knowledge at this point.

I am concerned about verbal audibles, and signaling mechanisms from sideline. (this needs to be remedied ASAP). Since the signal scandals around football over years, most coaching operations have been diligent in changing at each quarter point in the season.

Agree. Not to nitpick but Oregon did not
Have much success on the ground outside the long run. IU bottled them up pretty good
Watching the game Indiana seemed to give up 5 then drop em for a loss. If we can avoid those negative rushing plays and stay on schedule they can be got. Seemed weaker on the edge and not particularly dominant in the middle. Thought their safeties did a good job coming up in support to prevent those 5 yarders from going for 10. Looked to me like if Oregon had Davison and better blocking Wrs and TE they could have had more success. I watched the game through a lens of what Oregon was doing vs what we are capable of doing.

Take away the Turnovers IU/Oregon game is very similar to the first matchup they played that ended 30-20. Miami is way better than Oregon. The way Oregon has handled the portal + injuries this outcome wasn’t a shock to me. I’ll give Indiana credit they are a solid team, but I really believe Miami will be the most athletic team IU will have faced. Our trenches are really good on both sides. Mendoza will have to beat us with his arm, very capable, but I don’t see their O-line keeping the pocket clean and giving him time against us like they did against Oregon. I believe we are bigger, faster, stronger than IU. Nothing in the last 3 games, outside of penalties vs. Ole Miss, has made me think that we aren’t the better team when both teams take the field on Jan 19. My confidence is sky high on our team and our coaches. Hate me for having this much confidence, but after 23 years our team looks more poised than ever to break through.
Let’s ******* Go Canes!
