The incompetence continues / practice fields

Any idea what the bill was for the Niners?

Not sure what the bill was... but while this was Potentially bad PR, it ended with excellent results for a penurious University finally paying enough to nab some respected offensive coaching talent (OC plus OL plus HOPEFULLY WR)

Think about how bad this is.

It took us A YEAR to grow a field that was in such bad condition, the NFL immediately deemed it unsafe.

Then, we refuse to change the field unless the Niners pay for it.

I mean how are we so incompetent at every single facet of athletics?

Two words for you.

Blake.

James.

And you don't think the fields need recovery time?

Why? We barely did anything on our practice fields (or on the regular fields) since the beginning of November. (Sarcasm)

Recovery time? We are talking about Miami. How does this work during every other Super Bowl? Let's say the Super Bowl is held in Los Angeles, are we supposed to think that the NFL is going to find two virgin FOOTBALL practice areas that haven't been used for FOOTBALL for the preceding six months?

This ****e is insane on so many levels.

Good lord, it took us a half a year to grow new fields that were torn up with heavy equipment putting in the IPF.

We practiced in mid-December for the disaster in Shreveport so it's been about a month. There is a ton to complain about but practice fields for the 49ers are not. Rapoport needed a non-story.

We don’t even have our own in house grounds crew.

Man, if you ever went to our Intramural fields (just up the road from Hecht), you would see that there is no way in **** we spend cash on fields. Those IM fields are so hard and brittle, you cut yourself just sliding for a catch on those fields.
