The hits keep coming (Vols, OT)

Dude picked the absolute worst time to commit this infraction. Given what's in the news about UT, I'm guessing there will be ZERO tolerance.

Doubtful they wait for the full due process, either ...

So just so I'm understanding things correctly:

Miami:
- a few football players talking about getting laid in a rap song
- had a Pell Grant scandal
- beat up other teams (on the field)

...and people called for shutting down the football program...

Tennessee:
- has maybe it's most famous football alum in hot water over a sexual assult charge
- multiple other rape/sexual assault allegations

...and no one in the CFB media is saying anything other than "it's tragic"???? I wonder which school they'd feel more comfortable sending their teenage daughters to?

Now I'll admit that I may be glossing over some of things that happened at UM (particularly under Erickson) but I don't remember it being as bad as it is now at Tennessee or was under previous regimes...

Wow. Just...wow.

Someone from UT will reach out to the girl, offer her some type of cash settlement under the table and some season tickets. She will drop all of these charges and this will never be heard of again. It will then be spun to the media as merely a "bad night" in Knoxville in which both parties were at fault. Bank on it. SEC gon SEC.

Their biggest sin still is giving the world one Paul Finebaum. I wish nothing but ill on that program. May the hits keep coming.

Paully is from UT? Has he commented publicly AT ALL?

Yep. He just usually can't verbalize any mentions of his time there with the collective junk of every Bama fan in his mouth.

I'm not sure if he's opined on any of their current issues as I usually make it a point to never listen to his show.

I just skimmed his Twitter feed, from the looks of it, he's had various media-types on his show talking about it (most of them Tenn-friendly, but not all)...so it looks like he's avoiding putting a personal opinion out there and letting guests share their opinions. Avoiding being critical of his SEC benefactors.

Sounds about par for the course with him regarding any SEC related negativity. He (or his guests) spins it when the news initially breaks and then just ignores it when the facts all come out and just waits for the NCAA to follow suit- as they always do.

Uh, these are criminal charges, so I'm not sure what a cash settlement has to do with anything.

Moreover, the alleged victim isn't the person who decides whether criminal charges are brought...
