***** the Gus Haters Thread

Lolz at Gus

Yearby is probably the best back in terms of moving the chains but he isn't a threat to break one

Walton probably has the highest ceiling but he needs to improve

Gus isn't a natural rb
I thought Walton would emerge this year as our best back, but a trimmed down Yearby should be our #1 when the game begins. Practice is just practice and reps are overrated. He's the one that has natural running ability coursing through him.

Only use for Gus is short yardage, but now that we have a FB who looks like a tank, Gus becomes useless. Mark and Yearby will most likely split reps with Richt going with whoever has the hot hand in that weeks practice or early in the game
Walton is a better short yardage back than Gus.
Walton is a master at short yardage as his 3.4 ypc proves.

His average TD is just shy of The Fridge

Walton can devastate a defense ripping off 3 yard chunks.

Yeah man I am with you. He looked horrible physically last year but still had some really good games. Im hoping him trimming down will bring some of that quickness back. He's always had the sixth sense.

Walton is an average running back, at best. Not sure what folks saw to make them believe he is a stud ball carrier; He is not that. Has no vision and no cutback ability. 3.4 YPC says it all - you can excuse the numbers. ****, just trust your eyes.

He has GREAT hands, though, and I love him as a pass catcher out of the backfield

I like Yearby as a change of pace back. I think he can get it done, as he runs well between the tackles, and he has elite cutback ability. Also, great hands as a pass catcher.

I really like Gus, though. I think he will emerge as THE GUY when the live bullets start flying.

I HOPE the top two guys will shake out to be: 1. Gus 2. Yearby

Give Walton 3-4 carries per game and use him in the passing game

I love Homer, but I want him to shirt.

I believe Walton is the most complete, all-around back that we have.

Yearby is too shifty even when it isn't needed as he uses it as a substitute for the breakaway speed that he lacks.

Gus has low confidence or lacks the fearlessness that all great backs possess. Way too much doubting himself, shuffling, and hesitation to hit the hole. people usually say this can't be taught, but I believe great coaching can improve confidence levels. We will see, and if Gus is the starter or even the number 2 back, we'll know that Thomas Brown is an excellent coach.

All that said, Travis Homer is the most talented back we have and is the future beginning next season. His foot quickness is phenomenal!

Lmao Vern...
You wanna put something on the line?

You willin to bet yo life??
LOL!
At least 2 TD's vs FSU for Gus, if he doesn't do it, you don't post on here until the last game of the season.
He scores 2, I won't post until January 2017.

I bet you Gus has the longest run from scrimmage for a RB and I guarantee you he averages the most yards per carry at RB you can take any one of those bets only thing scare me about GUs he is injury prone
