***** the Gus Haters Thread

Only use for Gus is short yardage, but now that we have a FB who looks like a tank, Gus becomes useless. Mark and Yearby will most likely split reps with Richt going with whoever has the hot hand in that weeks practice or early in the game
Walton is a better short yardage back than Gus.

Vern go so hard for gus. Gus has a lot to prove coming off injury and being prone to believing he's a scat back at 230+. Times going to be judge but for Vern's sanity and the benefit of the team I hope gus is as good as advertised in the first post.

I agree but he is a "power back" and not a good one at that so his only positive should be short yardage. Either way he is useless to this team

How many times I gotta tell yall yall are remembering his freshman year...

Look at Gus getting Skinnty through the hole with the skip jump for a 30 yard run...HA PS this is longer than any Mark Walton run and he has better feet than Mark...I bet yall boys want Walton on KR again..lol

Some guys just don't have the instincts. Like Duke was our best short yardage back despite his size. He didn't hesitate. Walton runs hard as **** and he should get bigger. Gus just has no running back instincts. He runs with no feel or vision. I mean, how much better can those things actually get? I dunno. He certainly has the physical gifts. In all honesty, not messing with Vern, I think Gus can end up being pretty solid I just don't see where we would take carries away from the other guys.

I like Gus but have to agree that his instincts are questionable and his penchant for running straight up is problematic. Eric ****erson and Derek Henry got away with running that way despite being completely different style-wise. Gus is neither of those guys. And while technique can be taught, instincts cannot. Hope he improves enough in his technique and mindset to be a productive back.

Looks better, better dancer, coming off injury. Better name **** my sons middle name is Augustus. Im ready to make some internet bets on Gus's success this year. Who want some!!!!

All of our running backs are average but if Yearby has really lost weight he has the best chance at being a good college football running back.

It's too bad that Trayone Gray has a brain the size of a golf ball because the dude could be elite with his physical traits.

What it means is that he had much better RB's on his roster at GA. None of these dudes are game changers.

That is true but there isnt a more talented RB then CHubb in the nation...but Gus is the more talented then Walton and Yearby thats all I am saying

Fournette, cook. Both ahead of Chubb.

Fournette, yes. Cook, no. Different styles but Cook is a glorified system back. Wait and see...

Lolz at Gus

Yearby is probably the best back in terms of moving the chains but he isn't a threat to break one

Walton probably has the highest ceiling but he needs to improve

Gus isn't a natural rb
