The game just changed forever

Simple....they move product, they get air time, their players are marketable, and b/c of this exposure, their revenue will now be increased exponentially. So now the bag game is open game.

Now a team like Texas can say "come here, we're the #1 school in selling merchandise, and with the new allowance, you'll be able to get a nice cut from our profits." What will Miami say? Who's marketing us? Adidas used to go hard in the paint for us, but have now turned their attention to other schools.

I'm not seeing the benefits. This just opens up a way for SEC/BIG 10 schools to no longer have to hide chit and be even more aggressive.

But you didn’t answer my question? They already get the best 25, how does this make their roster better?

Also believe it or not Miami is still a huge brand , in 2017 we had some of the highest viewed regular season games of the last 5-6 years. Miami apparel also does really well.

I don’t think UM fans really understand how powerful the brand still is. All their negativity has overwhelmed their brain. Just like our players some overrate them and some underrate them.

Hate it or love it but that brand is still one of the biggest in the country. No matter how many retards there is in the athletic Dept or how ever many corches we hire.

This allows Miami to do things they’d normally not even try because of fear of the ncaa.

Just landing 5-6 more elite Sfla kids a class would be huge.

As for your “not on tv“ comment , we’re still on National tv every Saturday , regardless if it’s the AccN, Espn, ESPN 2 or abc. **** if we’re just pretty good we stay in good television spot. Back to 2017 we were literally the lead prime time game multiple weaks, I’m pretty sure in back to back weaks. That was two years ago , the brand is still strong my friend.

You need to win. The fanatics will supply the early capital and the players will sign with Miami. Top agents will push Miami because of its DMA profile.

The Vtech and Notre Dame games showed you the power of the U. Place was rocking. Imagine if Miami is appearing on TV as much as 'KKK U' (Alabama). People will tune in.

I live in LA and our USC alumns were crying today. UCLA and USC are about to "legally" unleash Caine on the Country Bumpkins of the USA!

George Lucas alone will cut a check for $500M and Ferrell will cut another one for $50M.... USC will dominate!
Capital wont just appear if Miami is not organized. No one will just start investing that much money without understanding exactly what they will be getting for it. ****, Miami couldnt even get an IPF for way too long. Marketing & pay for play will become a part of the recruiting pitch, if Miami isnt ready for that, theyre done.

First off, I'm in business and have been quite successful, but that's neither here nor there. You made the argument, so I'll put the ball in your court.

Explain the business side; what will the University of Miami offer that a Bama, OSU, or Oklahoma won't offer?

absolutely nothing. those kids are celebs in t town, columbus, norman. theyre not celebs in miami in terms of competing advertising deals. unless, UM landed a tebow like player, no one will out bid what these guys could get in college towns

I definitely see where you’re coming from , but what do we have to say now ? When Bama comes calling ? At least we have an opportunity here .. we still are in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country and a big market , most famous NFL alumni base(can now possibly use them for our current players ie partbeeships) just have to use this rule right and creatively with what we have , but it can possibly help in my opinion. At the very least we don’t have to worry about the NCAA sniffing around .

I know there's going to be some regulations behind this. My whole point is now schools with bags can become uber creative. $$$$ will always trump. We gotta start winning, like now. I know it won't go in to effect ASAP, but the only way we'll benefit is we have to start winning, not big per say, but we can't keep going 7-6 or below.

The rich will get richer.

This hurts Miami.

So bama , ohio state, uga will get more players? They already get the pick of the liter, how will this make their recruiting or coaching better. Is there a special island I don’t know about that has 6-7 stars on it ? And they’ll be allowed to have 100 kids instead of 85?

We only need 1 Fanjul, 1 Arison and 2 Bacardis to donate. The rest will roll in at a later stage. Agents will push players to Miami and will pay to have them here. They do not want to travel to Tuscaloosa any more than we do.....

Exactly.

Just the sheer amount of car dealerships, businesses, restaurants, etc. that are in the Miami market allows almost every player to have opportunity to make money in commercials, autograph signings, etc. Yes all markets have these opportunities but the difference is the size of the Miami market allows players who aren't big names to still have opportunities

So the South Florida studs that grew up rooting for the Canes can now make a “business decision” and stay home???
We need some business savvy boosters to be creative and create a network that can legally enrich these players lives financially. West Palm Beach and south is a HUGE media market.

and hes known for his wrestling and movies not for where he played CFB.

But he’s known by everyone as a cane. Everyone that I meet I talk canes with asks me i like the rock. They go hand in hand.

Even his tv shows and movies he’s rocking cane gear or talking UM up, right up to a part of the plot. Everyone knows he’s a cane, even my 80 year old mother was like “ The rock played for Miami”? lol .

The U is as connected to him as anything.

This sounds like the GNOME!!!!

GNOME!!! How are you? Changing your moniker because of the Baseball team's pending resurgence?

If you think there are more advertising opportunities in the entire state of Alabama than in South Florida, then that tells me everything I need to know. I drove through Alabama three times and it is a decrepit, backwater, abject state, whose only redeeming quality is a Lynyrd Skynnyrd's song. Place is a sewer. Tuscaloosa has stores divided in two due to tornado damage that they were unable to fix.

Rosenhaus alone will pay millions per annum to future UM players. Big Cheese is good for $40,000 a year alone. Bacardi and Carnival will donate millions. Some VC funds may donate as well, since they want an "inside track" at the Biotech Center.

UCLA, Miami and USC will FEAST!
Rosenhaus doesn't care where they go to school. More opportunities in South Florida but those business will expect a return. In Alabama they won't care about the return on investment, there is a reason they have the best bag game while UM is far behind

This is paramount. This is exactly what I'm saying.

Y’all are on crack if you don’t think a Tebow like player wouldn’t make killer bank in Miami. That’s hilarious , I can’t even believe y’all think that lmao.

The biggest cfb player in a big market like Miami would be insane. Come on, y’all can’t be tripping this hard.

I’ve lived in gainesville majority of my life , there’s no chance in the world it would even be close. Tebow was a brand in itself . Put that in a huge market like Miami....pffft.

I can see kosi rocking the

How does this benefit bama, Ohio state, uga and schools like that more ?

How does a perfect 10 go to a perfect 11? They already get the best 25 kids lol. That won’t change , last time I checked the numbers will still be 25 scholarships. Y’all acting like this will give them 40 schollies or something.

This will help the big markets and second tier schools more, will it get them a class like bama top to bottom? No, but its definitely a big help.
Don't need a scholarship is some goober pays your way. They will have 5 star walk ons
