The FSU game crowd

The orange bowl was not a college type stadium, I know we all loved it, but just about any major P2 college stadium would surpass it. Even though generally, college town stadiums suck, hardly any seatbacks, hot metal bleachers, and all that it would still surpass the orange bowl and its last year, which was literally falling apart.
That's my point. The orange bowl was actually worse from an amenity point of view and fans still came.

Attendance hasn’t been any worse at HR, maybe even better.

The orange bowl was a unique venue, it was awesome in its time and I was fortunate to have attended games there, sellouts and also games where the attendance was really poor. The OB and the whole unique OB experience, will never be replicated.

This is 2026, you need amenities, especially for a team like Miami that doesn’t have enough alumni or students (many of whom are not super interested).

My personal experience as season ticket holder in the O bowl was that it was all about the shake of the stadium and unbridled energy you felt and zero about amenity as there was exactly no amenity. Not to mention $10 no blocky which was surprisingly true 99% of the time. Now that I think about it, that parking was actually 10x easier then hard rock from a getting in and out perspective. I digress. Now, 25 years later I would definitely trade what we have now to have that again. That said, unless you were fortunate enough to live it you probably require more now so you are probably right. Some of these newer fans definitely want a more luxurious experience. **** all the students didn't even stay in their seats for the end of the fsu game in covered seating in a nail biter. Really wild since normally when a game gets that tight at the end every seat and aisle usually fill up.

The orange bowl did.

All fixed with an on campus stadium. Prevented by the cities of Coral Gables and South Miami.
Some group has to offer them billions not millions. Parking and p/u like lot 70 with train and buses.

There is a dollar amount that could make an on-campus stadium happen, and yes, it's somewhere in the billions. It would also involve an incredibly divisive multi-year campaign to get it approved. I don't see anyone spending that kind of money and effort for a stadium that would get used 7-8 days a year.

As a former student **** the students.
One day on campus I remember walking with a small group of fellow students and one of them straight faced asked where is the football stadium because they hadn't seen it on campus yet. I wanted to smack them lol

Literally physically impossible - no room for a stadium. Also impossible from a parking and traffic perspective. Not to mention the cost in billions, which would be prohibitive, but there’s no room for a stadium and parking to begin with.

I have no idea what you’re actually talking about.

Will never happen because it’s not practical, it’s not feasible, and nobody actually wants that except for people playing fantasyland time.

This right here. Not to mention tons of Miami fans come from the north. I would guess it’s almost a 50/50 split.

Almost every SEC stadium benefits from a sellout of away team tickets every week. They also have massive alumni bases that go to 1 game a year but that's enough on a weekly basis.

We are at a geographic extreme and don't get either of the above benefits.

This is a tired theme.
Stop complaining and go to games. Those sec small ****** towns don't have nothing to do and I've been to many of them. I rather go to Barcelona, Tokyo, central or south America than those sorry *** sec towns.

I'm not complaining, I am explaining the obvious to the people who whine about attendance.

I am a 17-year straight season ticket holder and have been to about 200 Canes games between home, away, neutral, and bowls.
