The FSU game crowd

if it is up to me I am leaving a lot of games early but my ticket partner is more of a stay to the end or close to the end guy. that said I am not leaving the biggest rivalry game at 14-14. the students leaving probably want to get back so they can go party somewhere.
help me understand. what's your rationale for leaving games early? and is it only if we're up multiple TDs with a couple of minutes remaining....or even if its a close game (aside from FSU) you'll still leave early?

to beat the traffic out which quite honestly was not bad at all leaving FSU so maybe its more of a phobia in my mind.

Stop it. There are no plans to build an on campus or close by off-campus stadium. I guarantee it will not happen, at least not in our lifetime.

i read Ruiz is going to purchase (a) tropical park, (b) Coral Gables High School, (c) the 5 acre swath of land on Granada or (d) sunset place. closing is set for next month

Maybe this has been discussed but the student section overflow in the upper corner of the stadium has been a problem going back years. Are kids requesting tickets and then just not showing up?
Yes.

From what I've heard, a lot of the tailgates/pregames are on campus, so you're expecting college kids who spent the afternoon getting drunk to make it to a stadium 40 minutes away. My friend's cousin who is a UM junior (and a big football fan) got wasted at a frat party and never made it to the stadium on Saturday. Obviously, it's soft as ****, but that's what is happening.

I'm far past college age, so I'm sure they have this and don't shoot me if not, but the school needs to set up buses leaving every 10 minutes going from campus to the game, and then back afterwards. Make them party buses, let them drink, put stripper poles up, who gives a ****. Go walk through campus and force kids onto the buses at gunpoint. I understand trying to get there when you're 19 years old and hammered would suck, but the school needs to put a task force on getting as many kids as humanly possible free transportation there and back.

Again, I'm sure they have something like this set up. I just think, if it's not being encouraged at many decibels, they need to do that.

What???

About kids not showing up using the overflow tickets in the upper deck: at the start of the game that upper corner area was pretty empty but if you were there as the game progressed, I guess maybe into the second quarter, it looked to me to be about 2/3 full so maybe some of you are just looking at a static image or didn’t look back up there later

I was on the 50 and I saw that section to my upper left, and I distinctly remember maybe midway through the second quarter that it was already filling up

That's what everyone does lmao. Got hammered at a tailgate but had some (a lot) of Irvin's powda to get me to the game. Tons of people also just go to Monty's to watch it since its less than 10 mins away

yeah this always looks weird on TV, take up an entire section for what looks like 30 band members and lets spread them way TF out to try to take up more space. I dont get it. Fit em in half the section and let the kids pile in behind.
This kills me!

They are so bad with presentation. For God's sack grab some students and dress them up and let them fill out that area.

Or maybe increase the size of the band. Give some homeless people some fake instruments and let them sit there. 😆

Yeah bro same, but I get drunk in the stadium parking lot a 2 minute walk from the gate... Why aren't the frats hosting giant tailgates at Hard Rock??

That's thousands of kids now showing up. If I was Miami, I would say that if you request a ticket and don't show up you lose your access to any future game this season that might be a sell out.
Wish they would, only way they could enforce this is if they required the student's to scan both the ticket and their Cane Card -- but currently they only request you flash a Cane Card.
