Upper west endzone that was empty is the Student overflow. The student turnout was an embarrassment. How they don't fill their sections for our biggest rivalry and biggest home game of the season is beyond me.
Besides that, it was good crowd. Upper end zones were a bit sparse for a supposed "sell-out," but that's to be expected when the school tries to rip off its fans with overpriced nosebleed tickets, and then dumps them onto the secondary market at the last minute.
Back in my day we'd just take enough Molly and LSD to do both.Student section turnout was 75%... mind you tickets for the game amongst students crashed Ticketmaster and sold out QUICKLY. Many of these same students that claimed a ticket went to a dumb EDM concert to do molly and LSD instead.
Agreed. Having been able to spit on the Big House on a regular basis (can’t wait ‘til we break that deadlock in the series), you even seen it at the perennial “college towns” too, it all depends on opponent, closeness of game, etc., even from the student section.I do think that college towns and their fans are different than big metropolitan cities. I see a lot of the same stuff in Los Angeles...
In my day we were soft and just added Mushrooms to our molly. Called it the MX missle.Back in my day we'd just take enough Molly and LSD to do both.
I just came back to post the same thought. The heavy rain did not help. If you were sitting in the lower rows, you got dumped on for 3 quarters.
But that's one of my points in this whole grievance. The game is tied 14-14 in the biggest home game of the year against your biggest rival. It's not like we were up 28-7 at the half against a Boston CollegeAgreed. This I wouldn't understand. Why even come to the game then? You would be surprised the amount of people who leave game early or even arrive like halftime.. Probably just go back to tailgate or whatever reason.. It happens every game. Also Hard rock has the whole suite area that is always full of people just sitting around talking and such and never go back to their seat
Most the students are kids from the NE who aren’t about that life. They go to get drunk and tailgate then leave to party moreGlad you started this thread. Atmosphere was great...especially towards the end. But 2 things that irked me bigtime on Saturday.
1) A herd of students leaving at halftime. I was walking down the circular ramps from 200 to 100 level to say hello to some friends and I see dozens of students leaving the stadium. Mind you, score is 14-14, against your biggest rival...and you're leaving at halftime? It's like they want to get back to campus to sit in their dorms. Just ****ed me off.
2) I'm hurrying back to my seats with a few minutes left before the 2nd half starts and the concourses are SLAMMED with our fans just mingling, no urgency to get back to their seats. All sitting in high tops, drinking their ****tails, with no care in the world that the game is about to start. Different priorities I guess.

We used to call that the hippy flip, but you could always stack the boomers right on the first two and go for the triple crown. In my day we were soft and just added Mushrooms to our molly. Called it the MX missle.
I have no idea, happens tho, even saban talked about student section emptying out before..This I wouldn't understand. Why even come to the game then?
It did vs Washington and that home schedule was brutal. In 2002, we averaged 65k.Heard it was extremely loud. I remember ob not selling out in 01 lol
oh I know, I was a student 04-08. I know the student body well. Granted, we're talking 20 years ago...but I don't recall the student body leaving in droves at halftime like how I saw on Saturday.....especially not for an FSU game. Maybe if it was a September noon game against a bad opponent and we're up 3 TDs at the half. Most the students are kids from the NE who aren’t about that life. They go to get drunk and tailgate then leave to party more

Stop complaining and go to the game and I'll be there with my kids again.Be prepared to have 45k for a Noon game while having the #1 team.
