The Foreclosure (7/12)

That 23’ class is practically all gone and irrelevant at this point. No bueno.
100%! The 23 class has 3-4 players headlined by Mauigoa and Bain. Just not enough high level talent contributors.

What I wrote the other day that certain players (8-10) from the 24 class have to be homeruns if the program under Wario expects to move forward.

I don’t think a mere playoff appearance would change the perception of the program. If we make it and get blown out by an SEC team then the narrative doesn’t change a lot. We have to at least make a good showing if we get there and prove we belong with the big boys.

I’m let this play out if at the end of the seasons we don’t win double digits and make the acc championship and playoffs in year 4 then it will be time panic
Exactly we should be ACC Champions this year. If we have a bad season then it is panic time. I believe in this team though and bringing hardware to Miami will be a game changer and proof of process.

Can’t believe people are melting down over here. Mario has proven to be a good recruiter. If Cooper commits to Texas we will still recruit him to the end and if mama really wants him close I’d say there is a good chance he flips. Just win 10 games.

The @DMoney post was an intentional chumming of the waters to boost engagement during the doldrums of July.

Whatever problems the program has in acquiring talent will be rendered moot by a bad season- or mostly smoothed over by a great season.

The best thing to do regardless of recruiting momentum is to unplug, focus on other interests, and pick back up when real camp buzz comes out. @OrangeBowlMagic has shared this sentiment. Touch grass and check back in a month.

What has A&M won the last two decades? ****, last 100 years. Recruiting ain’t about selling last wins, it’s about selling the vision of wins.

Cam just went 1.1, Miami was one win away from playoffs, if you can’t sell stock in the future right now, then idk.
These SFL YN's and their inner circles different man.

Recruiting is 90% about money.
This is the disconnect. We have people that clearly have never been involved in sales before. 90% is about money so you have to be on the ball park. It's the 10% variable that is separate on what moves the needle for that particular sale that has to be accounted for and you have to understand what pushes that person to make a decision beyond just the money and there are some people that the money is 100% what matters and you have to know who they are too. We can have a top 5 NIL and still not have top 5 class because of those variables. I personally think the ACC is good for us on the field. Least resistance to the playoff, but it can be a detriment off the field. If we can check more of the variable boxes, conference, winning, when you are going against the best of the best now it's a true best salesman wins and there is no reason you shouldn't be able to sell Miami at that point. It's Mario's job to get it done this year to make his own job easier moving forward.

If we keeping it 100, I don't think a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP would change the perception as much as some would believe it would.

The Miami brand is still kinda stale to these kids. If you really want to know where we stand, don't talk to the High Schoolers. Talk to the Middle Schoolers about who their favorite teams are. You won't hear Miami mentioned much.

Even last year, if we really dissect it, the excitement was around Cam -- the player -- more so than Miami, the team.

We're still a couple of years away from molding these SFL minds.

Florida & especially Miami was the same as those places we just fell off badly and the connection was lost while some of those teams kept winning in each era. Or now they rebuilt faster than us and added a crazy nil team

Id say it’s still better than most think we have landed alot of players here after the glory days because the logo still holds weight, and for us to even be considered for the top players in the country shows it imo but i know it doesn’t matter unless we land them

It’s just hard to battle the Texas/bama/georgia/osu when your selling point is hometown and their selling points are bag/natty/nfl, and now another layer is the conference realignment talk? Uphill battle like Dmoney said
Yeah in the early 2000's we still had that cache with the kids down here hence that 08 Jacory Harris Class but once the 2010s hit it was GGs for Elite SFL recruits coming to Miami.

When you offer a bigger NIL deal with playing time to a recruit and he still turns you down, things are real bad. Someone that isn't a top 100 player. They gave it their all. Mario might get 1 or 2 flips, but in this Rev Share NIL era, we aren't flipping 5 kids late. Better hope for several firings and desperate NIL offers.
