its only been a tail spin to ppl that THOUGHT we were getting any of those kids with scheduled commitments.

The only kid i felt good about is Derrick Cooper.

How or why yall belive you were landing a kid from lsu's campus, a s fla kid that TOLD You u werent in the top 4, TWOsafeties from metro atlanta with uga and clemson attention i have no idea.

I aint gonna lie i think some of yall boughtinto the banana tail pipe recruiting hype from blogs, posters, twitter.

Recruiting vets like me had no expectation from NONE of the recently committed recruits. Ive been stating new offers should be going out at their positions for weeks lol

Doesn’t matter who the coach is we go all in on unrealistic targets. Tough to do when the local kids are overhyped or not buying in. We have to be really good on Evals early since we can’t sell ‘Big ten and SEC” like all the other schools we are recruiting against.

It’s still early but these crown jewel misses are bad I can’t lie but Mario usually finds a way to bring in good players regardless of the misses we’ve had so I’ll give him grace.

Hes not perfect but I haven’t felt this good about our program since I’ve been following it this in depth since 07. I think we’re going to have a great year and that’s going to help us with some big time kids even if it’s not these south Florida turncoats.

I’m not gonna soapbox talk **** to posters for getting wrapped up in the hype when people were claiming top 3-5 class but the math just doesn’t math unless we bring in a massive amount of recruits

2024 remember the summer meltdown about DTs? We ended up doing well. 2025 similar things and we failed at the end (but landed a top notch portal class)

That’s why I’m not going to crucify him running backs are a dime a dozen. They stole Baxter from us and he hasn’t played a significant down for them yet. If coop wants to go to Texas **** him go get another top flight back.

wait till you find out every single coach has a analyst for this role.

We operated extremely well with clock and situation management this past season imo. We will see this season how much of that was just pure faith in Cam though.

Are you high? He blew the Syracuse game not giving Cam a chance to win the game NEAR THE GAME instead kicking a stupid FG and we lost lost a game. He relied on our defense that got torched the entire game. Everyone in college football saw that moronic move that could have cost us a trip to the ACC Championship game and the playoffs. YIKES!

Remember, the practice reports (mine and others) were clear that secondary would be our weakness last year. I don’t think anybody expected the total defensive collapse, but DB was always the area of concern.

I just want to finally see complimentary football without catastrophic meltdowns like tvd forgetting to play in 23 and our defense not being able to execute hs concepts in 24.

So people keep saying. But do we? Specifically, do we have remaining discretionary NIL to compete for these recent recruiiting battles?

The only recent comments I've believed coming from D$'s mouth have been the ones where he talks about how expensive keeping our returning players and landing the offseason portal additions has been. That made sense. Then when I saw us battling for A&M, Georgia, Bama, LSU, Clemson, Oregon, for these recent recruits, I knew something wasn't lining up. Either we're writing with blank checks, or we're going to lose those battles. Whelp, I think we have our answer.

What ****es me off is Mario and the NIL backers should have known they wouldn't be able to pay the suck tax needed to beat out LSU for Brown or pull Stewart away from Clemson. And they should have had quality plan Bs in place. But here we are holding our **** in our hands, and Mario is going to need to scramble for some Mario specials to round out the class. He better pray some of those other head coaches get fired so we can win back a couple of these guys in flips before signing day. Because right now he's looking like he just got beat in checkers and has no idea what chess is.
