The Foreclosure (7/12)

Hope we’re not set to limp into the season opener. That ND game will set the tone for the season. I mean I guess we’re the only team in the country that has to go undefeated to keep 5* Miami kids home. Absolutely ridiculous

People ask, “Why do local players crap on Miami?” And those same people have hundreds of posts crapping on Miami.

And it’s usually deserved. We’ve been bad for two decades. There are many reasons to be cynical. But we can’t act surprised when local kids who grew up in Miami, around Miami fans, around Miami meltdowns have a lack of faith in Miami.
So Miami alumni steering players away and ****ting on the program because they didn't like the head coach was bad for the program?

I am stunned.

But I see we've reached the blame the fans part of the tenure. Mario blew hires and is outcoached every game day, and that is on him and his bros, not the fan base supporting this ******* circus.

Mario was brought in to win. We’ve won more each year, and we’ve left wins on the table each year. Georgia Tech ‘23 and Syracuse ‘24 worst of all. It’s time to get over the hump.

Our roster has improved immensely. My target would be 11 wins- something we haven’t done since Sean Taylor was in our secondary. If we take a step back, it’s going to be a rough time.
Why does it seem the more games we win the further we go back in recruiting rankings

Lol

“Win and they will come”

Best season we had in awhile they don’t come pause

Goalpost: “we didn’t make the playoffs that’s why”

5-7 year one good class

Goalpost: “you can sell what your building your a new HC”

All bs
We were also told the 25 class was meh because of the recruiting calendar and the '23 season hurt us with those guys, but this time it'll be different since we were a 10-win team in '24 season. Well, that doesn't appear to be the case. We had a nice run a few weeks ago but no elite players jumped on board.

According to The Foreclosure, we need to make the playoffs (minimum) this year to have any sort of chance with convincing most of the local players that Miami is the place to be.

I'm not optimistic, especially with the type of gameday coach Mario has proven to be. His strength is recruiting but in this era, he's not as elite as he once was or was thought to be.

I think there is more to this than @DMoney is telling us, and maybe because he can’t or should not.
It feels to me like the big money people behind Mario are simply not willing to invest the money needed to compete with the biggest schools. And as that was supposedly Mario’s biggest advantage, he/we/UM is in bigger trouble than we are being told.

There has been a run on the Bank, and we are the last to know. IMO.

I swear Miami fans out hella out of touch w/ how kids view us down here. This generation does not care about the time before them not one iota, they grew up watching Miami suck/mid. Only way to change this for the better is success on the field and in the NFL Draft. Gotta make the playoff this yr the roster good enough to get it done.
Why are teams like Auburn and Texas a&m recruiting their backyard so well then. They been worse than us in the past 2 decades

It’s not the fans’ fault. The fans are reacting to the product.
Does A&M have that much F U money that it really doesn't matter? I don't get it. That team hasn't won anything in my lifetime and somehow manages to land top 5 classes cycle after cycle and still suck with no proof of concept. Texas just started to be adequate to their talent level and still hasn't been good since I was in middle school and I'm about to be 34. I can't see how our market value numbers aren't close to both of those schools for certain players.

I'm not attacking you. It's just look at what happened last year, now you expect kids to put trust in a largely unproven DC after see that cajun goofball? we make the playoffs, kids ball out things will change but last year was a blown opportunity.

Exactly its something going on they aren't telling us. Our best season in 20 years shouldn't have fans in meltdown mode about recruiting

It seems like even Miami and it’s staff don’t believe in Miami.

The word was “watch out Miami is paying **** you money. We’re threatening for too 3 class maybe even top 1. We have top 5 NIL.” now it’s “we can’t just can’t overcome negative fans?”

I don’t see how both can be true at the same time.

ESPN makes kids believe the SEC is the place to be even though the only SEC team he didnt get ran off field in playoffs was the BIG 12 school.
Refs literally had to save UT against ASU and UGA in about 4 games but the reality is kids buy the narrative.

I respect you, but that’s moving the goal post. Losing Cooper 4 years in and being outside the top 10 two years in a row is a disaster. That’s not what he’s paid to do. You are citing his failures as to why Cooper is about to go to Texas.

Maybe they should have brought Francis Brewu in a couple years ago and DT would look better.

There is no excuse for losing Cooper. None. You have said for months he’s coming. If he’s not, it’s a massive failure. Massive. Hold Mario’s feet to the fire. He was brought here to win these. Kid has been to Texas once.

If Mario is outside the top 10 with this budget, he’s useless.

There's no bigger hater of Miami Hurricanes football than its own fans.
