Ok, we now know you're homophobe too... I'm just waiting for the obligatory angry veiled racist response and then you will have hit for the cycle on this thread.
Now it's 90% futile runs up the middle. Earlier it was all the runs. Which is it?
There are far more folks on this thread who agree with my take than don't. It's ok to not agree with the finer details. The main theme - some fans set unattainable goals then complain when we don't hit them - still remains true. When you come out of the gate like a scorched D-bag, name calling and insulting, no one will listen to what you're saying, even if you're right....which you're not, at least not about this.
Lastly, I'll leave the crayon eater comments alone because I have a lot of respect for the armed force and cops (that goes along with your clot shot comment, right?). However, have you considered that football and armed forces battlefields aren't really the same? I get the analagous nature of the two, but they are not one in the same.
If you served, thank you for your service (I know, weird comment given the arguing, but it's true - thank you). If you didn't, seek psychiatric help.
Have a nice day. I have a job to attend to now so I won't be as quick to respond.
Go Canes.
Homophobe? Literally, that's a fear/panic (phobos) of a goober-smoocher. Does it sound like I fear you?
You might want to break out a dictionary - even if you have to borrow one - on occasion. If you're going to insult someone - at least get the terminology correct.
What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports - has a piscpoor up the middle play calling trend have to do with racism? I'm talking about football, and your butt-hurt self is desperately trying to inject racism into the discourse. Like trying to shove a quarter in a dime slot - it doesn't work.
Race is never - ever - a consideration with me on any level - but YOU seem to be preoccupied by 'racism.' You need to drop that crap - you look like an idiot trying to make a connection - where there is none.
I have news for you. Football is a game of strategy and tactics. Executed.
Wartime fighting is a practice of using strategy and tactics. Executed.
You don't do stupid, wasteful pushes where your opponent is strong. You don't repeat the same tactic over and over and over. And they're waiting for you.
You don't need to respect anything I did - I did it because I was good at it. And, I enjoyed it. No clock. No time outs. No halftime. No second place. And nothing was out of bounds.
I know a losing plan when I see it. I know a flawed scheme when I see it.
The absolute worst commanders were those who came into the fight with their tactical approach they determined would be followed regardless.
The best commanders approached with a general idea - but upon examining the terrain, concentrations, and both forces - quickly shifted to maximizing his advantages.
I haven't seen that with this staff until the second half of our last game - and oddly - it worked. Like it's worked for two millennia.
As for us fans who "set unattainable goals," the second half showed clearly that we were right - because previously - we never knew what was attainable.
Because we were stuck on the stupid middle.
