the dude can't recruit

My main concern with this whole thing. If he puts a top organization around him like a good CEO should, things could get real interesting pretty quickly. Hopefully his 15 years or so in coaching have shown him the way.

Bama is gonna come down here and take players whenever they want. That won’t change no matter who we hire.

But it is a concern. Replace Searles and Rumph with better coaches and our recruiting class gets instantly better. WR, RB, TE, DL, isn’t really an issue.

You're pipe dreaming buddy but I feel ya. If Richt had handcuffed Diaz I would be excited to see what moves he'd make as head coach but Richt didn't and what we got was a decent defense, certainly nothing resembling vintage UM not to mention average recruiting.

- At LB, who does he have behind the Bermuda Wrong Angle (guys Golden brought in)?

- How many of our top DB prospects have spurned us under Manny?

- Our DT situation is less than ideal right now, too.

Nothing about his body of work here says great recruiter. That’s problematic.

We have also gotten a lot of elite DB guys locally. Outside of the two AH guys that went to the highest bidders Rumph has done a great job of keeping guys like Blades and Bandy here and more importantly developing guys like Corn and Mike Jackson.

My main concern with this whole thing. If he can assemble a robust recruiting organization around him then look out. Manny strikes me as a guy who is very self aware and understands his weaknesses. Will he have enough support from the administration to put a strong recruiting organization in place? Time will tell.

Ah let's add them up CJ Henderson, ah **** it's too many to count... never mind Not to mention he's yet to develop one 1st team ACC and first rounder from his defenses. Diaz is serviceable at best. Duke came in the Rock and best us during homecoming. I'm just sayin'

Yes, Manny has never been an HC but I'll wait to see what kind of staff he brings in b4 thinking all the negativity. I'm taking Manny over Mark with no experience period(+). Manny saw the writing on da wall with Mark and said peace so he showed good awareness(+). I'm reading some of yall asking what has he done downplaying da fact he had a top defense 2years in a row. That has to be a pretty good accomplishment in my opinion fellas look @ the offense the defense had to rely on(+). The one constant Manny had was the LB's and Safties the DL and CB was totally different every year if I'm not mistaken and they improved every year(+). It will be interesting fellas the one thing Manny can't do is bring anyone back from that offensive staff. If he does that he is not head coach material and we might not ever see Miami as Da U for a long time. That's the easiest decision point blank. If this hire is a bad one idk what do fellas.

All I know, Manny can never call out a recruit for changing their mind if they committed to us and decided to make a business decision b/c this **** did the same chit.
