Texas State ? that's a real resume builder. They might be able to pay a head coach 100K or so.

Why isn't Richt going after Hugh Freeze period? He is big game coach with a ton of knowledge with strong SEC recruiting ties.

if no one wanted to hire you for 1M then the Texas State job if offered would look **** good. beats wearing a yellow vest at Walmart
 
Any real OC is going to want his own QB coach and that means replacing Jon and that won’t happen. He couldn’t give his son that job at UGA. They have real coaches. Christ,it’s the reason Richt took this job. He was done after 15 seasons at UGA.I don’t think any OC,or the hire we immediately need will take the job with the caveat that he keep Jon Richt as his QB coach.

He is playing the long game. If he does well at texas state for 2-3 years he can get a P5 HC job and make more money in the long run.

Anyone who fixes our crap offense will be a very desirable head coaching candidate.
