The Dobard fumble was SOOO crucial

If we go up 2 scores we don't lose that game.. It wasn't the only play that cost us, but it was huge..

Question, Did Miami still have the lead after Dobard fumbled?

Yes. Up 23-17. We were driving back after they had just scored. Dobard killed us there.

okay so the answer is yes which means that this entire thread is nothing but some sort of pathetic attempt to make excuses over an individual play that didnt lose us the game by itself.

it was nothing, how about if we had a coach like Jimbo who tells reporters they have nothing to worry about and are playing just fine, after being down 21-0 or 23-7, then UM fans who arent brainwashed by years of incompetence would understand how much of nothing that play meant to the outcome of the game.

This team is not ready.

The freshman on the other team were tho

Coaching

What the fucque are you talking about? #15 looked pretty darn good. #73 played a very good game. #68 played well when he rotated in. #2 was more than serviceable spelling #8.

It seems that the fan base is absolutely IN LOVE with comparing our own approach to the Seminole approach to things.

Everything I've seen has basically been, "well, they were able to get away with it"

What the **** kind of foundation for success is that? The opposition makes mistakes and because they were able to dodge those bullets (bullets that will almost assuredly come back to bite them when they face a team who doesn't make those mistakes), it's now okay for us to make those mistakes? "We should be able to overcome those mistakes, because they are apart of the game" seems to be the company line and I ain't with it in the slightest. There's no reason that we shouldn't have been better than them in taking care of the football. Turnovers (ESPECIALLY FUMBLES), are well within the control of the players. Because FSU can't hold on to the ball, doesn't mean it's cool for us to be running around loosely with the football.

Frank Gore fumbled for the first time this season yesterday and it took his QB tripping him and and an offensive linemen kicking the football out of his grasp. Short of extraneous circumstances like this, or somebody straight up rocking you like a mac truck, at which point your body is separated from the football, there is no excuse for fumbles. Getting stripped is straight up degrading.

Our standard should have absolutely ZERO to do with what somebody else can stand to afford. What FSU was able to overcome is of no consequence. OUR goal should be to play sound, disciplined, and fundamental football, independent of what the other team does, the same way ya mamma probably told you to mind your business and do your work when you started cryin to her about the teacher not liking you and about her liking the other kid more, after YOU didn't do the homework and failed a test.

Take care of the football. End Of Discussion.

it was the biggest one with the Berrios drop a close second, we obviously needed 1 more td badly in this game, we scored 23 points in the first 18 minutes and got shutdown

You've got it reversed. The Berrios play was points. Desperately needed points and margin. This fumble didn't guarantee anything. The dynamics of the game had already shifted dramatically.

I bet so many first halves. The weaker team often has control early. It's crucial for them to stick full advantage on the scoreboard before halftime. When they ***** it up, there's no certainty it will ever come back in their favor.

In short, there's no such thing as pace for an overmatched home underdog. North Carolina State didn't retain any logical expectation of scoring touchdowns in that second half. Nor Louisville. To lesser degree, neither did we. I was begging for 10 second half points.

Florida State got away with this against us. If they continue to be lazy in the first half and try rally mode against a powerful team that was ranked very high in preseason, they will fall short, and perhaps embarrassed.

Cant wait till 2015 in Tally, where "Marvis Frazier" Yearby goes against Cook! That will show you how great a coach and recruiter Folden is!

Had miami won maybe fsu fans could have looked at the cook fumble as the turning point....people act like fsu didn't make mistakes all drop td's , fumble etc etc smh.

I
We go from crossing mid-field, driving towards more points, and quite possibly ending the 3rd quarter with the football...

...to them having the ball again and going down to get points.

Man that was a BRUTAL mistake at that point in the game.

It was right after Northrup made a TFL on Duke in the backfield that got them jacked up and that would have brought them right back down to earth and kept them on the field as we ground out yards, chewed up clock, and wore them down.

That had all the makings of an "answer drive" and it got fumbled away.

That's when I knew we were going to lose.

So despite all the excuses u make for golden the reality is u have no faith In The guy either...lol
