Looks like we might have hit on some players there. I really like all three freshmen WRs, and Malachi Toney is so reliable that Beck already looks for him in tight spots. I think both TEs will get some burn this year. Kellen Wiley has a chance to play a ton by the end of the year. Donta Simpson was a find and Hayden Lowe is a five star.

Chris Ewald has a chance to play in the nickel because he’s so smart. Girard Pringle is running tough for his size and has track speed. And the most impressive player might be Bryce Fitzgerald- if he tackles at all he will be a difference maker.

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but I just wanted to highlight some recent standouts. I feel much better about this group now than I did in December.

OK then…But if this is still an issue... And I'm not talking cleaning up some technique, but the willingness and love for physicality are still not there. Then safety shouldn't even be an option for this kid. Get him to corner or WR now please.

"If he tackles at all????" Huh?…You don't give a kid who has been playing a good while killer instinct at 18 years old

Thank you @DMoney! Seems like the db portal class also a potential homerun.

So far, so good but we won’t know about his tackling until real games. It needs to be better than high school. If he can tackle enough to play safety, you are talking Kam Kinchens ball skills with 4.4 speed and superior athleticism.

looks like this class has what this program needs -- an infusion of speed and twitch

And if there are some guys who are good enough to be '3 and done'(which every program has to have to really compete) then find roles for THEM this year. The future is now. No need to redshirt guys who are't going to be here for long...

Simpson will be needed right away.

I think he means tackling is the only thing he hasn’t confirmed yet since they just put on pads, but he has seen everything else. That’s my take on what he stated.
