Indiana is very good against the run, but context is important. Who have the played? What offensive line has challenged them?

This game is going to be decided in the trenches, and just like the OSU game, media/bookies/general public are underestimating how large the advantage we have in the trenches.

I think we're going to be able to run it and control the clock. I don't think they will be able to run it.

I brought this up, they are gonna say it’s because the big10 has more teams with good defense.

We aren't scoring points like we should on average on those drives though. It leaves us with a tiny margin of error, and any explosive plays given up by our defense can have an outsized impact on the game. The Ole Miss game is a perfect example. We methodically moved the ball without any explosive plays on our first 2 drives and got just 3 points. They hit an explosive run and we were behind in a game that we had dominated.

I honestly don't care if the solution is to score more TDs than we have been on the methodical drives or get more explosives that lead directly or indirectly to more TDs. We just need to score more touchdowns when we have the ball in plus territory.

Trey Zhun is the best tackle we faced by far. Nobody comes close to him.

Agree. We had two negative plays and a penalty on those first two drives against Ole Miss. Can't keep doing stuff like that.

IU is the best in the country in Red Zone TD% (34.62% allowed). That gives me pause that we are going to be able to score more points than we have been on methodical drives. I don't expect us to score from 50+ yards away a bunch, but it would be a really good thing if we can score TDs from outside the red zone against them like we did against Ole Miss a couple of times.

The "hosers" will prepare for the short passes Beck tosses and obviously the powerful runs. Knowing those two defensive "definites" have given our OC's their marching orders. If you're gonna run those type of plays have different looks, and surprise them with more deep balls. But, defense is the key as we all know. U

Thats our offensive identity.. Defense has to hold teams way below avg to have chance

Yeah we have been a phonebooth offense the entire year. But our playoff offense has been a much smaller phone booth inside of our regular season phone booth. It's only gotta "work" for one more game, so here's hoping. But my heart would really be better off in the long run if we hit some more explosives against IU lol

First half this game imo is so critical.

Indiana has excelled this season when they get out to a fast start.

Our offensive gameplan generally struggles in pure passing situations, we NEED to be able to run the ball. Getting down 2 scores early would be very bad.

And our CBs have been injured and will be missing Lucas in the first half, and imo the BEST strength of this Indiana offense is their WRs and their ability to make contested catches..
