(The) Championship (Game)

That's legit. The USF result is bonkers, that's 79% fewer yards than their average. ODU was the only other team to show that kind of control over the run against them. Looks like 3 games with about 75% fewer yards than average. That is smothering. And 5 games with opponents at 45% fewer yards or more.

Looks like Indiana has 6 of those 45%ers, but they played one more game and much worse rushing teams so that makes sense. And only one game holding opponents to 60% fewer yards or more. And their worst games against UCLA and MSU, neither of whom are exactly known for their rushing or strong O-lines.

Either way, both teams better be ready to spend more time in the air than they're used to. Going to be hard to stay on schedule if either team is able to play to their average.
Nope we will run on them with ease like everyone else.

I been walking around like Vince McMahon for weeks telling everyone we gonna put belt to ***, gonna beat'em up like they've never been beat up before.

Ain't been wrong yet.

This team is DIFFERENT and history beckons. Just lock in.
I’m locked in alright, I think we shock the world Monday night. They will say something to me 1st no doubt about it. We lift that trophy it’s gonna glorious.

You ready for the ODU stats?
7th at 5.59 and Indiana gave up a massive 9.48. The ODU QB ran for 183 yards on 10 carries!

Indiana's opponents rank avg is 72nd in the country ( 4.30 ypc)
Miami's opponents rank avg is 57th in the country( 4.49 ypc)

Seeing film breakdowns saying #67 on that OL is the weakness
They do line up with 6 OL some with 75 (Zen Michalski) playing inline TE. 72 (Adedamola Ajani) has also played RT including against Bama. I'm not sure any of the 3 are good enough to face Bain/Mesidor along. Thus, they will chip with a TE/RB OR bring a 6th OL.

I'd love to see the stats on Mendoza with 6 OL + 1 RB. No wonder he holds the ball for 3 seconds, max protection. This was how OSU had enough time to hit JJ deep: 2TE+1RB in to block with the TE releasing to the flats after 1-2 seconds.

This is why we have to stop the run on early downs, it’s literally the staple of their offense kinda like it is for us. Look at the percentage of plays on pass downs, this means they stay ahead of the sticks almost all of the time

Fernando is converting alot when in those situations but it’s basically rare that he is, thats probably why the teams that gave him trouble are the ones who defended the run well.

It’s been very cool hearing the same people who said “you can’t beat a ****ed of TAMU at their place” also say “yeah but Ohio State is the best team in the nation” also say “Chambliss is the best QB in the country yall haven’t seen anyone like him” now say “Indiana is the perfect college team”.
Yeah it has been a lot of “Prisoner of the moment” To have a team go through the gauntlet that Miami did only to say the will get blown out by several touchdowns is wild.

It’s like the world forgot who we beat.

11,000 pass yards but he can't throw it. Honestly I expect a ton of quick passes from Beck again. They do all that crazy movement on the DL. It takes time to do it. Get rid of it. Dawson needs to scheme up a ton of quick zone beaters
When you watch the tape, the only difference between Carson Beck and Cam Ward is that Ward hunted the deep throws.

We have all seen it before. If Beck would have held the ball a second longer a player was streaking open for a touchdown. But Beck is cool with the check down.

Ward would hold it and take the risk of holding it to make the big throw. That’s really the only difference between the two.

The difference was pretty much the pick 6, right?
If you don't include half OSU giving up in the 4th qtr and taking DUO runs directly in the chin 7 times in the last drive. Carnel Tate just flat out ran away from the ball late in the 4th qtr. TAMU gave up late in the 4th. Ole Miss were walking zombies on that DL on the last drive and Carson just walked by em. Indiana is way smaller and lacks the depth of those other squads. Indiana does NOT want any of this smoke late in the 4th qtr with the game on the line.
