Some of you say 8 wins, and some say 10. I've been quiet on this because both of you are wrong. I think we're making a run for it all THIS season. This team is built to win right now. We've added some great pieces, players have matured and we have great coaching.

Why? Well, I believe in Richt, and just look at the **** roster- it's one of the most talented in CFB (pros up and down the roster...a bunch of underrated guys the world will soon come to know)

Top 2 QB in CFB
Dynamic and versatile TE duo (both might be first rd picks---Herdon is a 3rd rounder, at worst)
Three headed monster at RB, and Gus returns
A monster FB
WR's that can flat out go and a dynamic guy in coley
An offense line that returns everyone and WILL surprise
A DOMINANT dline; this is a game changing Dline that will make the secondary look great
A linebacking Corp, that's while thin, has talent
A talented senior lead safety group
2 senior DBs (Colbert and Elder) and a youngin that's played and has potential (red wine)

But here is the key to unlocking this defense: if we can land Maurice Smith is going to be "on". With Smith, the secondary would feature FIVE experienced seniors that can play (Carter, Jenkins, Elder, Colbert, Smith)

Smith can unlock the entire defense. If he comes the sky will be the limit, because it'll mean this team will have no holes

The TE depth is unique and the personnel diversity is intriguing. I agree with your sentiment. Those kids look "tough as all get out." Just like the OC said. I'm really impressed with what I see on tape and can appreciate why the coaches were happy with practice as well. This is day 2! Mind you. I can't wait to see the final product in weeks to come. We will be a tough football team with a load of NFL talent.

We are not playing Clemson this year. If we beat FSU at home, there is a good chance we go undefeated. The only other team who we may have problems with is ND. With Richt at the helm, it's not a stretch to say we can beat every team in the ACC we play this year. If we stay healthy that is.

I swear, our fans have been so scarred and injured by Golden they forget we Miami, not GT or UNC. We Miami, God damnit. All pros and HOF's, 5 titles in the last 33 years and played for the whole **** 9 times in that span. Golden is gone and we are being coached by a PROVEN commodity, that just happens to be a Miami guy and knows what it means to coach in south Florida.

This roster is one of the most talented in CFB, we finally have top notch coaching and our we have guys that can flat out go at positions that matter.

The FSU game will be a war, as always but we got them at home (had them on the ropes the last two years with shatty coaching). Win that game and all dreams are possible; I fully expect a dominant canes squad this season

Richt smiled after he saw the film when he first took the job. It was a smile of confidence and I have the same one after seeing the film and how these young men look attacking practice. There's a lot of trauma-bonding going on here that perpetuates the inferiority projected on the blog. We won 8! games last season people. We are a completely different team from top to bottom. It's about to be lit!!!

Our grudge match this year is UNC. We owe them, but the team needs to know that.

We will become much better and actually kick some **** this year. But we will have challenges. Namely ND and actually VT. I think we do finally beat FSU this year.

While I'm not counting on the whole Smith thing I could easily see a full turn around this year without him. I am sticking with 10-2 because thats what i've said for months. While we may be short at some spots THESE BOYS WANT THIS!! These kids are coming in with a chip on their shoulder and a fire under their *** like never before so saying 11-1 or 12-0 ACC Champs is as unrealistic as some think. You can see the confidence in the post practice pressers, Diaz doesn't want to give to much but look and compare the Richt post practice videos when he first got here to yesterdays. He's confident that these kids are buying into the system and save your Richt didn't win championships at Georgia B*llsh*t, hey dumb@$$ neither did Satan at Michigan State!!! He has a fan base that is in full support of him and he has the pick of the litter in his back yard, he doesn't have to travel to come recruit. If this season wasn't about to be special the Artie Burn's and Deon Bush's would have said that they wish they had one more year of eligibility to play for a world class coach like Coach Richt!!

We should have a very good year, and who knows maybe we run the table, but if we dont im not going to lose hope. We dont have much at CB, we dont hardly any expirience or depth at LB, and o line is a big question mark. Now with us moving to a system that suits our oline much better, that should help but if not, i cant judge the offense too harshly until Richt gets his players there. Defnsivlely, can't judge Diaz too much until he gets some corners. The more faith he has in them, the more aggresive he can play. Hopefully some guys step up and we get the transfer from Bama. Those are question marks, but hopefully they get awnsered and we run the table and put Saban into retirement. I dont know if its this year, but were about to be back their fellas.

Hope we do win 10 and make the ACCCG. The concern I have, and so do many, is the lack of depth at OL, LB and secondary. Plus if Kaaya goes down or Coley we will lose.

CMR will need to recruit extremely well next two classes to eliminate the depth holes Golden and his Staph left behind. It's the reality we face as fans. We want to win now but we don't have a complete team. Out of the gate, FSU, ND and UNC are better teams. Can we win a game, two from the three? Don't know but it will be tough. My hope is we beat UNC for sure and some how pull off an upset against one of the other two.

Push games will be VT, NCST and Pitt. Can see these three games either way. Wins IMO: FAMU, FAU, App St, GT, Duke, and UVA. We split the other 6 finishing 9-3.
