Manny Diaz was a top tier DC for two years with players he didn't recruit, he was amazing for that group of talent, all of his defenses had expiration dates or he left way too early to have to sustain it. He was fired week 2 at Texas, foh with top tier.
UM top tier D# was a moment, you could see it after Wisc in the Orange Bowl, and then again in the Pinstripe Bowl. He can't recruit good Defensive players, his defensive system is a mess, this team can't tackle for the last 2 years.

This team has looked flat so many times, we have so many bad losses in the last 3 years (GT the year they changed from a triple option O, Duke, Louisiana Tech, FIU, punked by UNC, Sparty @ home) we looked like we didn't belong against good teams.

On offense he seems to just have plain bad luck, Enos was a colossal failure (there were posters that raised flags after he got hired, but I don't think we can crucify him there) and Lashlee (avg 21 ppg on losses and that's with 34 against Ok st) is looking like just another spread OC with no creativity; He should be more involved and make sure the coaches bench the skill players that underachieve, we are in SFL there's no reason for Wiggins still be getting snaps 2 years after he proved he wasn't it.

Manny sucks at his job. Blake sucks at his job. IT DOES NOT MATTER who hired who. Saying "its not manny's fault for getting hired" is b.ull****. Two things can be true at the same time.

Judge them both by how they're doing the job have. If you wanna say Blake should be fired for hiring manny, then by all means. But Blake being terrible doesn't excuse manny for anything.

I never said anything about it not being Manny's fault. I said it doesn't matter until Blake is gone. If they got rid of Manny tomorrow, we'd find the next Norvell.

Manny's the symptom, the administration is the disease.

If you think ESPN GAF about upsetting UM’s lame duck President or their weak AD more than they care about upsetting the powerful Chair of a prominent political party of the 3rd largest state in the Union then I can’t help you.

Bingo. ***** CMD and the others getting agitated. WE WANT WINS, AND SAVAGES. And the SAVAGES won't come without the WINS. Turnover Chain and TD Rings only come out if we're ahead in the game. Manny is going to find himself in the next edition of a certain YouTube video if he keeps it up

Other than Chris who is leaving the hoops team? You want to talk 3 losing seasons, a rash of injuries over those same 3 seasons and the fact we cannot sign a kid over 6'6", then sure. Larranaga should have never been given an extension and should have been canned this spring. Does he even follow the basketball team?

This.

It's going to be a funeral every Monday until he's fired. He'll have to search high and low for positives about this team's direction. Focusing on future recruiting, really throws your experienced vets (which this team is supposed to have alot
of) under the bus.

This is just he beginning. The narrative is already being discussed nationally.

I'm dying for some columnist to actually put some time in and investigate this athletic department. Our sports team have no direction

This is why when people say they want to fly a Fire Manny banner I say your aiming at the wrong person and like someone said in another thread..

Manny is the symptom of the disease... you can supress the symptom but if you dont stop the disease it rages on...because its not just the football program... its the baseball program and basketball program and who is the common denominator for all those... Administration aka James
 
At the end of the day the president doesn’t care about athletics and the only thing that we can do to get him to come close to caring is to publicly embarrass the school and his administration. If we fly banners they should say “Julio and Blake don’t care about student athletes” or something to that regard. Because at the end of the day not putting these programs in a position to win just wastes 5 star talent and these kids should be going to better programs if they want to actually get to the pros.

If Manny got fired today, James would just hire a Diaz clone. Another day, another Diaz.
