It does not take a rocket scientist to see how bad our team is prepared week to week. That falls on the Head man. He was given this job with no track record of a head coach. Had a few good defensive years but fired from Texas. The players are better than 3/4 recruiting in the ACC and they are continually not developed!!!! Defense looks lost, offense is a mess, play with no heart-all of this falls on Manny! Going back to last season our wins are App St and Central Conn, barely beating App St at home. Then not prepared for Mich St. Manny is out of his tromp cards-it’s just we don’t have an administration that will fire him because they don’t give a **** about athletics. Basketball a mess, double digit portal transfers in baseball, and the week-in, week-out embarrassing football team. It is painfully obvious the BOT, President and AD don’t care. The care about making sure the coffer is full for academics, by using the ACC money from our terrible athletic teams. Manny should be embarrassed by his 4 page statement, because he can’t coach up kids! He doesn’t know how. This should be his last year, I for one have heard and more importantly, seen his results!

I’m not caping for him but it’s a cold feeling when you know exactly where you went wrong and I know manny knows UM was ****ed up. But in his shoes what would you do? Say no to your dream?

Athletes and coaches have to have an unfailing belief in themselves to make it to a level like this, along with a lot of a luck along the way. You take your dream job 100 times out of 100 when it comes up.

And LOL at Manny being a top tier DC for more than a decade. His defense was successful here with Goldens leftovers and has only regressed. Manny deserves credit for being forward thinking wrt the portal and NIL, but the criticism is more than fair.

While UM may have raised a stink, this guys defense of Manny reeks more like the current Chair of the Florida Democratic Party raised ****.

Evals are bad Pope doesn't have burst and is tiny. Halls hips were like that u can't fix that he needs an elite front seven in front of him. Donaldson got lazy could of been a player that's a toss up. Bolden a 5 star wasn't recruited hard by the best db evaluators in the SEC and other schools. He could be better with a good front seven. Good front sevens disguise alot of the Rumphs and guys like that. Huff we don't see so I don't know

We don't recruit and evaluate as good. We just aren't good at it and when we find a true stud most of the time we get beat for them and we left scrambling for Randy specials.

I really appreciate that the Bear called out more than just football, which evidences the problem goes beyond just the team and coach, but to the AD (and the BoT who hired him and continues to keep him around).

The last three seasons of UM baseball have been abysmal. Two of those seasons we finished unranked and didn't qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

Basketball has also been abysmal the last 3 seasons, with three consecutive losing seasons. The team is 67-80 in conference play with only 3 tournament appearances (and 2 of them were first round exits) in the 8 seasons since Blake took over.

And, of course, the football team is 65-41 since Blake got the job (about a 63% win percentage), with 1 sorry bowl victory, and all of 3 seasons finishing in the top 25 (in 8 completed seasons).

It's an embarrassing resume for an AD.

Laughed my *** off at CMD and his defense of the administration in general . talk about circling the Hecht wagons of Nepotism!!!!
awful performnace and there real is no defense of the AD dept lousy performance .......
 
His point about the athletic department is spot on.

What sports are we good at? Baseball team has done nothing. Basketball has been a trainwreck. Football is a dumpster fire. Our marquee sports are complete non-factors; that's an indictment on the administration's decision to stick by James no matter what, and its costing the school millions.
