The Bank (6/2)

We are getting two of those five stars. One I've made clear over and over and unless things change drastically the DT will be a Cane. I personally don't think we get Keys or the DE from my connects. I prefer the DT over Keys if you were going to grab 2 of them anyway. Wingo we just need to make UF overpay for haha.
I've heard the same on keys, but my info had him going to Ole Miss. While I'm not hearing Miami, I'm not sure he ends up at LSU.

Look when it comes to kennon we just like other guys more than him. Simple as that. They view Matthew's and Jennings as better in their eyes along with the guys already on board or we would be going all out for him

You're fact-checking my folksy metaphors?

Clearly you have forgotten about the Frankenstein-outfield former home of the Marlins, Dolphins/SunLife/LandShark/ProPlayer/Joe Robbie Stadium.

Irregardless, sometimes these small differences prevent an NIL agreement from being reached.
I wasn't fact checking. I was breaking your baIls. Good, ole fashioned, ball busting.

However I did just fact check "irregardless" because I wanted to be sure that it was not a word before I broke your chops over that and I know better than to argue with an attorney, especially when I am wrong. After checking, I am not going to make a comment about "irregardless."

As for the predecessor of Marlins Park, I think your Frankenstein outfield metaphor is pretty excellent. My apologies for not mentioning it earlier. Then again, I was thinking only of stadiums used by MLB teams and I excluded the Minor League teams. ;)

I was in Hattiesburg for baseball regional, and I spoke with people that personally knew Keys, and they all said he would stick with LSU, fwiw

One guy said Keys almost signed with a agent that was going to take 40% of his earnings but he got out of that 🤦‍♂️

I love Keys, he’s a top 3 player for me in this class, I really hope we can somehow close on him before NSD though
That sounds accurate, nothing would shock me more.

My friend, I am also breaking balls. I'm good with it, the Marlins ARE a minor league team (outside of those 2 years). And, yes, I intentionally misused "irregardless". It's a common mistake in law school, and just a deep-inside-baseball joke.

I do agree with you, there is a rise of cookie-cutter purpose-built stadiums in baseball lately. The old days of uniquely-designed ballparks is on the decline. I just took my father-in-law to a Braves game on Friday night. The park is a lot of fun...and is very...congruent...

But I bought an H&F burger...fantastic...and then I got a Sugar Shane's cookie for the wife...I am loving all the local food options they put in the outfield this year...

Now you're talking my language. I'm a big fan of the improvements in stadium concessions over the last 20 years or so. Long gone are the days of Fenway Dogs, saturated in months old hot dog water baptized by the ratoncitos running around at night. Now those ratones are recycled into the Chronic Tacos Carne Asada Helmet Nachos at Angel Stadium. High class grub!

I actually googled whether or not "irregardless" is a word and according to Google and several dictionaries, it is indeed a word. I thought for sure it was not and I had caught the Walter Johnson of wordsmithing in a word balk. Alas, I was wrong.

It not a real word. Big ****** lobbied Merriam behind Webster's back and now it in dictionary. Sad

Irregardless may, in fact, be a word. And it means "regardless". So it really falls into that zone of redundancy/overly wordy. As in, "if you are trying to tell me something is flammable, why say it's INflammable?"

And for those who choose to go down the rabbit hole:
