The Bank (6/13)

This right here. You don't use your first post to go negative. New guys gotta' play it cool til they get a reputation. You come in with a troll-like post as your first, you earned the response. And also, if you truly have been lurking CIS for years, you would know better; the comment isn't persuading me away from the troll aura.

The best, old school trolls know to fly low and stay off the radar for at least a few weeks before going in on their shtick. Unfortunately these Gen Z trolls just lack the patience for the game.

This week’s bank deposits 🔥🔥🔥🔥…let’s **** some more fan bases off 🧡💚🌴

I am sure this has been stated somewhere already, but I haven't been following recruiting as closely this year as in the past... how many high school kids is Miami taking this year - particularly given the scholarship limit increase?
They could take a couple over 25. I am not sure everyone realizes, those 105 ships are also the number of roster spots you have. Walk-ons count as roster spots. Decisions! If you tried to fill your 105 roster spots with top recruits, your transfer #'s would just be nuts.

Yeah I stand corrected, for some reason I had Brown as a OL recruit. Some services had Johnson as the #1 DT. I’m hopeful just not seeing or believing the Brown fervor.
No worries, he was listed as a OL recruit. I, along with of others, believe he is a better OL. He is just talented enough to be dominate at either. Just let him play what he wants, which is DT. Their is a long way to go, but we could legitimately end up with our best DT class ever. Things look really positive at the moment.

Yeah - I was aware that there are no longer walk-ons, but if they are going to have to use a scholarship I can see them being willing to cast a wider net knowing that many don't pan out and having a better chance of hitting on some. Take 35 each year knowing that 15 are likely to transfer - and knowing that and budget considerations, maybe some of the extras are not top recruits but projects/kids with potential.

That said, I also see the advantage of saving some for walk-ons as you need consistency even if it is just to fill roles on the scout team. Will be interesting to see how it plays out b/c I am sure different teams will have different strategies.

I bought into the 2024 DT class hype. And we did get Scott (and Jones, though he was a 3 star) which was awesome. But the talk was we'd get at least one more top 10 DT and we whiffed on multiple. I really thought we would get Stone or Breland.

Jones was a 4 star on every site. Ranked top 200 on the composite. And 247 had him on their freak list
