The Bank (4/26)

RB: Charmar brown probably nebraska lean, anthony carrie and branson robinson are available still
WR: no one good is left, staff probably throws a hail mary with Hykeem :sick:
DT: no one good left, Maybe Gavin Ransaw if he has the grades
S: Live and die with Haulcy, Greg Smith but he doesnt even help us now

RB and S are salvageable still but as of now its bleak.

Show me the programs who got WR1 out of the spring portal? What planet do you people live on?

This game is still predicated on HS recruiting. We have 2 second year WRs who were HIGH blue-chip recruits, one of them being in 5-star conversation. Those are your WR1 candidates. Not kids from Georgia State.
Miami whiffed. Take that however you want. The staff isn’t getting excuses from me.

Think Carr coming back and Marrion choosing us AT LEAST makes it so we no longer have a desperate need at WR. At least we got 9 guys, and have 6 guys we are probably okay with seeing real snaps.
Yea without those 2 guys we were in a dier position brutal position. We still need one more I believe for numbers and hopefully it's a big body jump ball type guy

Thankfully we’ve recruited pretty well at several important spots, and the one we haven’t, we have the best portal haul in the country. Would really love to add Haulcy somehow though. The rest of it I’m fine with what we’ve got now. If Haulcy joins this group, that’s a very tangible difference in the season outlook, IMO. Very few portal kids this window would have moved the needle for this roster, but he’s one.

We are 25/1 to win the natty. 10th best odds in the country. Clearly someone else believes in the roster, Dawson, and Heatherman too.

I’ll take time over the summer to fully digest and analyze the roster, but at this time last year, I was super excited about the team and completely ******* petrified about the DBs. We had very little experience or talent.

I don’t see that glaring hole right now. Maybe a room will have a whole bunch of highly regarded kids bust, and it’ll be the 2024 DBs all over again. We don’t know. It’s not like we have 22 proven all-conference starters. But nobody does. Do I wish we could add one really legit WR and a really legit Safety and a DT I know can eat up 25-30 snaps a game? Of course. But I don’t look at any of those rooms and **** my pants like I did at DB last year. Maybe they prove us wrong and we sit here next year and say “Holy ****, can you believe how bad those receivers were? Jacolby George, I miss and love you!!!” But I don’t see it right now. We’ll Miss plenty of kids, but we have talented bodies everywhere. Go win with a blue-chip laden roster.
I'd say DT and Safety (if Lucas or even Damari are moving there) right now are the most concerning on the entire team for sure.
DT idk like at the end of the day Mesidor and Bain will obviously move inside a lot especially on pass downs. But Yeah a big run stuffer is the current 2nd biggest need on defense as things stand after whatever the plan is at Safety.
WR the thing is we should be fine and at least have average to above average play out of the group. But that is setting up for a pretty large regression from last year without having a top WR given Beck is not the type of QB that is going to significantly improve the group like Cam could.

I think safety is a need. DT and the rest are wants.

RB is irrelavant to me as is and theres options currently for a RB3.

WR is mid but maybe has potential so whatever, the season will ultimately end up determining the impact of not getting a WR1 or WR1B in the portal.

S and DT are my key concerns. Rooms are mid and one injury to either group derails that entire group. Staff already failed at DT. You seriously cannot miss out on Haulcy at all costs.

Considering we cant recruit DT's for **** and with revenue sharing coming which will help teams retain talent even easier as well as only having 3 DT's worth a **** one being a Redshirt Junior (Moten) and the other being gone after this year (blay) DT is most certainly not a want but a need.

Basically same can be said for the Safety room.

Nothing towards you but moving our best corner to safety because this staff can’t recruit, develop and retain its players is not acceptable in year 4.
You do what you got to do. He is the best cb in practice. He hasn’t proven it in a real game

We have f-i-v-e corners who think their capable of starting. If you're going to get the best players on the field, someone's going to need to move. And then there's Day, Marquise Williams and possibly the kid from Alabama - #22. ****, even the TF that had the horrific leg injury flashed. And he was a big-time recruit pre-injury. Someone needs to step up. Sure, it's ideal to throw a pile of dough at at a problem, but there very may well be a viable solution already on the roster.

You don’t think in college being able to play the entire field is better ? I get he’s the best cb however being able to read and Play qb of the d might be better at this level

na Haulcy gives us everything we need, can be a 1st round draft pick if he comes
