We're a few weeks away from spring unofficial visit season, which will kick recruiting into a new gear. Here's the latest I'm hearing:

- I don't expect this class to be as large as last year. It may be closer to 20 players than 30. The staff wants more natural attrition than forced roster movement, and they trusts their evaluations of the players already on the roster. The early returns on the 2027 class look strong.

- While he's picked up Oregon buzz, I expect Miami to make an aggressive...

That is what we need. I haven’t seen him catching passes but he seems pretty coordinated. We will find out in spring if there is anything there.

Carver is still at TE. Had ACL last year I believe

Can't minimize this. If we had a TE that could block last year, we'd we sizing up the 6th ring.

I assume the expectation is for him to be more of a blocking TE to start right? Which I think would be a great role for him. Staying healthy is my biggest worry

As long as he can touch somebody on punts it’s an upgrade

Cole McConathy switching positions to TE was not on my bingo card.

The kid played meaningful snaps as a true frosh defensive end. Heck, I remember Bain singing his praises …and now he’s a TE who will try and make an impact as an inline blocker.

Maybe the new TE coach sees something he likes…oh wait…nevermind…we don’t have a new TE coach yet.

Wishing him much success as we could use a weapon in that room.
