Let's take his brother and grab Amari! Stick it to Wisconsin
Also Fickell is gone next year anyway lol

I personally think Stancil has the talent to be a top 50 guy on the D line. That’s our war daddy right there in this class. He’s definitely not talked about enough.Bummer on no top 50 guys on the Dline. Other than that I like the class a lot.
QB, WR, LB
In our very recent past (like 4 years ago), we would have been ecstatic to bring in 1 OT the caliber of any of these 3 guys.cogden, Irvin and cantwell would all be crown jewel recruits on any o line class. Getting all three is insane.
I agree, hopefully back to back 10 win seasons should give us a boost over the summer when most of these elite recruits make there decisions.Bummer on no top 50 guys on the Dline. Other than that I like the class a lot.
I like this one more than 2025.Really nice class.
Doggy.I wonder what position will we focus on in the portal
The hay is mostly in the barn. Miami has 29 commits and is poised to sign a Top 10 class on Wednesday. Here's the latest on what to expect in the next couple days:
- The Canes are battling Wisconsin for a pair of four stars down the stretch. The first is LB Karsten Busch (Louisville, KY). The 6'2, 233-pounder is a long athlete who plays all over the field. But unlike many previous LB signees, Busch has extensive experience at his future position. Coach Heatherman traveled to Louisville to watch him in person and loved what he saw. Busch also passed the eye-test on his Miami visit. I think the Canes get this one done.
- The second Miami/Wisconsin battle is for RB Amari Latimer (Atlanta, GA). The 5'11, 230-pound bruiser is a legit basketball player who leaned out and put up video-game numbers as a senior with 2,171 yards (10.1 YPC) and 40 TDs. He's also a very good receiver who can make contested catches. His brother, Geimere, is a rising senior at Wisconsin, and Latimer committed to the school in the summer.
Of the two, I'm more confident in Busch, but I also lean Miami with Latimer. CanesInSight was the first to identify both as Miami targets in the October 13th edition of the Bank.
- The Canes are also playing defense against other schools. You never truly know, but the staff expects to sign all of their commitments on Wednesday.
- Miami has swung big on the committed Top 100 defensive linemen, but I don't think anything gets done there. For a while, Nolan Wilson (Picayune, MS) was trending for a flip but that ship has likely sailed. That's the "blue, blue chip" I referenced on the show a while back.
- As we've discussed previously, Miami is emphasizing senior film. With summer OVs and commitments, this process allows Miami to jump on risers and cut ties with droppers. Some names that have stood out in particular are St. Augustine WR Somourian Wingo ("maybe the best senior WR film in America"), CB Camdin Portis ("ideal nickel and great character reports"), DT Keyshawn Stancil (Raleigh, NC), DT Frederic Sainteus (Naples), TE Gavin Mueller (Chicago), and TE Israel Briggs (Fresno, CA). A source also told CanesInSight that the 2026 OL class might be the best position group class since Mario arrived at Miami.
- The calendar has caused a lot of problems (see Kiffin saga), but it's streamlined roster management in some ways. The class will be wrapped up on Wednesday. The next step is roster retention, which is a stricter process in the pseudo-cap era. Once that's wrapped, all the focus shifts to Portal priorities and acquisitions. Of course, the personnel department is working many different things at once and getting ahead, but this order makes everything cleaner. The program has all the resources and alignment needed for another successful offseason.
It is but we need to close this class with the remaining targets. Mario needs to find a way to close or flip on a couple of whales. Do whatever it take$.Really nice class.
@DMoney any guys currently on roster that are contributors that we need to worry about?I think that will all be clearer once we have a better idea on retention.
How does roster retention work BEFORE the portal opens?
