Not inside the process, but I would expect they are making NIL offers and putting them in ink before official open bidding to avoid getting in a price war.

I read somewhere on this Board that the staff were as high on Stancil as they were any DT in the class. They feel the the is a "whale"

It's crazy that we can't get any elite Blue Chip DL based on how we've been balling this year. We really need Moten back next year with Scott and add 1-2 in the Portal. Simpson looks good but Jones, Russell and Newton are all question marks.

If we can bring Moten back to pair with Scott backed up by Simpson, one of Jones/Russell/Newton, a portal DT plus Stancil (I think he will see the field next year) then that’s 6 contributors inside that we can depend on. The rest is gravy.

Sorry but we have 3 DT that can contribute. Jones and Russell POSSIBLY. A freshman maybe can play similar to Simpson. The good news is the numbers are higher this year. IMO we need one DT and one DE.

Blount is in the mix for both but he looks more like a DE. At DE, we need Lightfoot and Picket to keep adding weight. Get to 245lbs and they likely can help out as every down DE. Scroggins, Lowe, Charles, Blount, Lightfoot, Picket get us close.

I live in Garner, NC and have seen him play a couple of times. He is LARGE. He comes from a football factory so he should be prepped and ready to go. With some coaching from DLew, he should contribute.
