The Athletic: Sam Leavitt possibly to Miami or TTU

Go compare his stats to Sellers . People here say Sellers can’t throw but their comp% are pretty much identical. Actually Sellers was 5 points higher last year . Just saying.
I like Sam a lot. He’s a top 3 QB for me from the portal.

I understand the accuracy. Would love Beck, Bailey or Mendoza passing completion but he’s a game changer. Proven winner.

He makes way better decisions with the ball than Sellers so to me, understand the completion % but now a fair comparison, IMO!

i mentioned this earlier , his deal makes it doubtful he leaves .
Absolutely I hadn’t seen your response yet when I replied to the OP plus he’s gone on record about it and that boy is pretty devout and how he looks at life so he’s unlikely at least for the upcoming season to suddenly go back on his word less than 60 days later

Cal has the money to keep him even if they decide they don’t have the money to surround him with as many pieces as he might need but if you follow his entire history of how he went up coming back to cal it would make more sense to people

IDK man, giving me the option of Leavitt, Sellers, JKS, or Bailey?

Although he looked like dog**** vs us, give me Bailey.

These effing throws are just beautiful.

And let's be real: Miami has a top 3 defense in college football. Easily. Even without Scott.

I would personally take leavitt if only for the experience of bringing a team to the college football playoff which you cannot dismiss but his injury tendencies concern me

I completely am not on the Bailey train

You're absolutely right about Leavitt.

Any of the 3 are better than our bench now
Two of the three were highly thought by nfl scouts
Bailey probably on the cusp due to size and arm
We will be breaking in 3 starters on ol, so all threes ability to break containment is exciting
It really comes down (if all are available)
Who fits cromarios O best
It took two losses for us to finally implement change, so I dont see us adapting to a qb

For those who've watched, how do you compare mobility of Leavitt vs. Bailey?
I don’t know if it’s because Bailey is really tall and he doesn’t look as fast, but he’s fast!

He makes really good decisions as to when to run. He prefers the pocket.

To me, Leavitt has that Jaxson Dart speed and wild man type of spirit about him.

I don’t know their running times but both run the ball very well.

Leavitt vs. Bailey isn't a comparison

Bailey has some pluses, I personally think we can do better, but against real defenses the drop-off isn't just noticeable it's huge. He really wasn't competitive against Notre Dame and even worse vs. us.
