The Arch hype train is derailing already

His performance in the second half of the season has been severely overhyped. Here is his QB rating for each game the second half of the season last year:

@ Kentucky - 85.51
@ Miss St - 143.39
Vandy- 189.29
@ UGA- 114.85
Arkansas- 212.92
Texas A&M-111.50
Michigan (bowl)-135.78

Guy had a 61.4% completion percentage on the season playing with Texas’ talent.
In the last 6 games, he had 19 total TDs lol

Dude should have fired himself , instead he fired the DC

Right. It’s one thing if they were 2024 Miami during Sark’s run.

Per F+:

2025: O 34, D 15.
2024: O 12, D 2.
2023: O 12, D 8.

So if you give him the benefit of the doubt, and start judging him after he has had a couple of recruiting classes to get his feet under him, he’s never had a Top 10 offense. He’s had two Top 10 defenses.

That ‘24 playoff team lost 3 games. They scored 2 TDs in each of three losses. And I’m not sure if they were all offensive TDs. With a 5* experienced QB.

Haven’t looked much into it but yea i been seeing reporters and people who have been to the practices/scrimmages that say he’s just been *** and Dia bell has looked better

Some of their fans are coping and saying its sark playing possom lol

Good on the back half, I’d say more average on the back half. It
Maybe looked good to people’s eyes because of the first half was so god-awful bad! From what I’ve seen, take the name off the back of his jersey, and he’s just a JAG.

Not exactly a gauntlet of elite defenses there either.

He aint going back to Texas next year. If he doesnt live up to the hype and somehow his draft stock falls his people will turn on Texas and Sark for lack of development.
He'll transfer to Miami when, all of a sudden, the media will claim he's the biggest bust in history.

Multiple things can be true, and likely are:

1. He was hyped up beyond belief, which is no fault of his. He's been a very humble kid, from everything I've seen.
2. He has been pretty good, but obviously hasn't been nearly as good as the undeserved hype he was given.
3. He was very good for the majority of the final half of last season
4. The teams he played during that stretch weren't great.
5. He got very little help last year. It reminded me a lot of Beck in 2024. Texas's WR's couldn't catch COVID in a 2020 nursing home, and the OL sucked ***

So, is he as good as the media made him to be? Obviously not. Is he a good college QB? I think he definitely is. Did he play a **** of a lot better late last year than early? Definitely. Was he playing good teams? Not really.

He's got a lot of talent, though. If he doesn't have a great year this year, he's probably just not a great player. He's got all the help he needs at this point. I still have a couple questions on their OL, but Texas is probably the only team in the country who I feel has comparable skill talent to us. If he can't put up big numbers and have that one of the best offenses in the country this year, he's just meh and probably won't ever be a good NFL player.

Arch is a stud.

He’s big as ****, he runs for 60-yard TDs and he can throw.

He dealt with unprecedented media noise, played behind a horrible OL, didn’t complain and still finished strong.

He’s not a finished product and he has a lot of work to do as a passer. But I’d rather have a tough gamer with big tools than a polished player with no upside.

I’ll take the Arch stock anybody wants to sell.

I remember people saying he looked good in the bowl game vs Michigan and after watching I was underwhelmed. His OL is definitely not good but I don’t think is a good passer of the football. Hes got arm talent but for some reason it doesn’t line up.

Overhyped? Yes.
Bust? No.

I honestly believe the kid is a very good QB who, if his last name wasnt Manning, would benefit himself to play system that runs the QB a bit more. Hes more athletic then you would expect for someone his of his size and tougher then you would expect for someone of his pedigree. People seem to expect him to be his uncles but hes not that, yet. He's not a finished product either tho.

With all the smoke in Austin, I totally expect Sark to sh*t the bed and get himself fired. If Manning were playing for Heupel or Golesh, where he'd have easier reads and would be used as a runner alot more, I think it would suit his abilities alot better.

I agree

Not as good as hyped by Finbaum and no where near as bad as people are making him out to be. But d take him as our starter for next year.

I couldn't agree more...

Take the name off the jersey and hes just another QB

Take Julian Sayin off Ohio St and hes just another QB

We've seen this before and espn and the media jumps on these as great players, which they are not
Both are talented and could be very good this year.
