The ACC must go nuclear

You also can’t ignore the loss of Travis. He’s the ACC player of the year, so he’s the best in the conference. It’s like Vegas not moving the line if Brady or Rodgers goes out. They no longer belong.

So let’s say we’re in the same position, u still feel like this?

You guys are missing the point. I argued FSU not making it in several threads. This is about a conference that is suppose to stick up for their teams. If this had happened to UNC they ACC would go nuclear. I think the question is will they do this for FSU.

But, @Andrew , what good does it do to go "nuclear" after the fact? Who cares about "sticking up for their teams" once you can no longer do a **** thing to fix it?

I don't care about the ACC reaction any longer. It's now a 12-team-playoff world, and this will no longer have any impact.

Until next year, when the Big 10 gets 6 teams and the SEC gets 6 teams.

Then we can revisit your "ACC goes nuclear" idea.

If we were gonna 7-5 in hindsight, now, I am so glad FSU went undefeated only to have this happen because there is probably no other circumstance that could’ve elicited more everlasting tears than this and that is worth it’s weight in gold. This will haunt them forever, whereas just the lost in a playoff or a championship game or to Miami would not.

That argument would’ve made sense IF they would’ve lost to the Crocs or Louisville. But they didn’t.

You can’t say, “Yeah, you won all your games and that’s always been automatic for CFB invites…but we’ve decided you can no longer win now since you don’t have Travis…even though you’ve won the past two weeks even though you didn’t have Travis.”

Funny how Saban and Bama always seems to benefit…

it will still have impact, it just won’t have an impact in terms of the conference champion.

But just you watch - an ACC team that only has one loss or two good losses and is ranked number 10 or nine or 11 will somehow get passed by an SEC team ranked number 16 to get into the top 12 playoffs, it will just be a different version of this

I haven't read this thread, but I agree. Every school in this conference just got spit on. **** that. We should all be moving out of this ****hole.

officially 2 SEC teams and 2 B1G teams in the playoff

ACC is in trouble - regardless of travis being the catalyst for this

Because the ACC should fight for all their members and not just the ones in the Carolinas. Fighting shows you care and you intended to be a relevant conference going foward.

Excluding them because their best player is out, even though they still won, is absurd. If this happened to Miami, I’d argue it’s more impressive that they won without our star QB.

Forget FSU feelings. They bums now. Give them Georiga and let them complain who should of got in the playoffs as they watch the playoffs just like us. They didnt care about our feelings in 2000 when we beat them head to head and they got put into the championship game vs Oklahoma. We only lost to Washington early in the year close and they finished 11-1. We beat #2 va tech, and FSU. Give us our **** and the call against ohio state in 2002 and Miami could of had a 3 peat. The pain is real. It crippled us for years now. Lets see what it does for them. I see them turning to TCU next year. Unless they hit a homerun on portal QB.
