The 2015 NFL Draft could be Al's most glaring indictment

Sad how we suck so much with this amount of talent.

Also, I never understood the underappreciation of Dorsett.

He had 2 bad drops against Notre Dame and has been criticized unfairly ever since.

After he runs a 4.2 and registers a 38 inch vertical at the combine, he will go in the 2nd or 3rd round at worst.

He will finish his career here with 2000+ receiving yards as well. Look up the receivers that have done that at UM.

Dorsett needs to do something against teams with a defense. Once he does that, he will be drafted. Otherwise, like Hurns,. But that is not bad thing. Then he can pick the team he wants to work out for s a FA. No way on Chick either. Duke and Perryman will be fairly draft picks though.

Ehhh. Hurns actually had some pretty good games against good teams. VTech and FSU last year. So that statement is false.

Scouts are on to the bargain bin that is the Hurricanes program. You can grab an unpolished kid that was developed under a group of doofuses, and quickly mold him into a productive player for your organization. The talent is there.

Drafting Miami players is like an estate sale for a dead, old, blind billionaire's automobile collection.

Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Bentley's, Aston Martin's everywhere. The only thing they need is a new paint job because the previous owner had no idea how to ******* drive the things.

from a talent perspective this team should be 6-0 or 5-1 with maybe a close loss vs Nebraska

instead we lose 3 games by double digit points. its pathetic

Nebraska is an atrocious, one dimensional team that this roster (from a talent perspective) should obliterate, especially given the performance of our freshman QB (who was the biggest question mark before the season).

How are we supposed to obliterate Nebraska on the road when our defensive tackles are the biggest weakness on the team? For all the cute skill position guys, we still suck at that vital position. I saw a very astute post from a Georgia Tech fan last week on another Canes board, saying the Canes scheme against them was very familiar from what they see every week but our defensive tackles were simply not capable of diagnosing or stopping anything.

I've been watching Canes defensive tackles since little scrappy Tony Cristiani. It's always been a joy that we've maintained a tremendous heritage at that position. My dad died in fall 2012 and he mentioned several times in his final years how disappointed he was that we'd somehow lost our way at that position. He watched the defensive tackles every play.

Sorry, but when Calvin Heurtelou is your main guy at that position you don't have any complaint about defeating a team that will run it smack at you 50+ times. Heurtelou does nothing but stand up and arm wrestle. It was hilarious watching him try to pass rush against Cincinnati. It was even more comical watching the tape last night than at the stadium. The Bearcat blockers were so bored they often would extend only one arm once they realized two were not required against Heurtelou. He's not going anywhere.

Our DTs don't make plays because of the style of play of our defense. Our DTs on't make plays because they're not coached to fire off the ball at the snap. They're supposed to stand up the OL, read the play and then go. As opposed to shooting off the ball and dictating the action.

Of course Heurt can't generate a pass rush when he's coached to stand up at the snap.

Mongo will be a steal after round 4. He'll be starting by week 6 on some NFL club next season.

I feel like we've wasted Flowers' & Duke's careers here and that makes me sad. Wish that by some miracle we could have them another season.

Wut. Flowers has started every game at Miami and Duke has the career all purpose yards mark as a Junior, even missing like 5 games. What would you have done differently with those two so as not to "waste their careers"?

The is THE U. That is simple, win the frigging games. Kids don't come her to be beat.
