That Cincy game has TRAP written all over it.

I thought we fought hard and it was a battle. You know that's another road Thursday night game. We don't hold grudges against the schedule makers, they make it and we play it but generally a bye is a bye. It's not you have the weekend off and then play in the middle of the week. That's neither here nor there at this point. People talk about Power 5 vs non Power 5, I don't care what conference they are in that was a very good football team we came up a bit short against. They've got an NFL QB in my estimation. You saw him in a six shooter duel against Brad tonight. It was a frenetic back and forth deal, just a bit short. I thought we played hard, just a few too many MEs in that fourth quarter. We'll get it corrected, starting tomorrow. We got Florida State next, get this one out of our minds after we watch the tape and get ready for conference play.

I think we go there 3-0 and I agree it's a game you better not be looking past. Our season and Golden's job get decided in the next 3 games after that. You start 4-0 and end up 4-3, the wheels could come off. Team will look great in September.

Not when you have a good HC...

Cincy plays the Thursday night a week earlier so their routine won't change much.

Night game. Gorlden.
Road Game. Gorlden.

Our biggest game of the season is the week after. FSU

They have a damned good QB as well.

If we show any signs of serious weakness vs Nebraska don't be surprised if this Cincy squad upsets us. (If we somehow crush Nebraska, which I doubt then this is all for naught)

Some would fargue that our bye the week before will be of some significant help.

Others would say that Gorlden and Co. haven't shown the ability as corches that would engender such faith. I am in the latter camp.

That ESPN writer was right about a few things and this was one of them.

They lose to Cincy and Al better get himself a bowl of chili in the Queen City and not come back to the 305. This is one of the games I actually have them winning on that glorious road to 4-8.

Even if we lose that game I wouldn't wish Golden the burden of eating that Skyline slop. Doesn't even deserve to be called chili.

Depends on the franchise owner. Some Skyline's have great chili. Others (one that was open near FLL, iirc) sold Galley Slave gruel that I wouldn't serve to their kitchen roaches.

Maybe that's the problem. I tried the one in Lauderdale (on Federal Hwy) and it was inedible gruel- perfect choice of words by you. Was basically watered down pasta sauce.

Cincy isn't a good team at all. They only player they have is the QB & he isn't much.

Last year, Cincy lost to every power 5 conference team & got blown out by Memphis 41-14.

Cincinnati vs. Power 5 conference teams (VT, Miami, OSU) 138-59.

The teams Cincy beat last year: Toledo, Miami (Ohio), ECU, Tulane, UCONN, Temple, SMU, & USF

Miami put up 55 points on them (highest point total of the year)

Does anyone else see the irony in that statement?

I bet Cincy is saying the same thing about us.

Let me present a REAL Canes fan right here gentlemen.

Niner can never think of anything clever to support his ****ed up position, so he relies on his cute little GIFS like a prancing, ***got.

FAU is a trap game imo. on the road and a night game.....dont assume we will win that one.

Uhhhh....no. I'm as skeptical as anybody about this teams chances. I have them at 5-7, 6-6 of they catch a break, but they'll beat FAU handily.

Nebraska is the game to look out for not cause it's a trap game but because it will set the tone for the season. A loss and the season can get out of hand. If we win, I think we head into Tallahassee 4-0.

I don't think Cincy has much of a shot. If we get past Nebraska then FSU becomes the decider in how the season goes. 6-6 in the end

You can't possibly be serious...or if you are, know anything about football. Whether we are improved, or absolutely suck this season, we will still win the FAU game by a blowout.
