Thanks, Al -- POWER RANKING the 38 Remaining Golden Players

Goes to show you how important good coaching is. It's nice to be able to pull 5 star recruits every year but there's always going to be a certain percentage of guys who need to be coached up if your team is going to succeed. Almost every week, I see guys contributing who I thought would probably never play meaningful minutes here. If this staff can get meaningful contributions from borderline recruits, imagine the results they'll be able to get with top notch recruits.

LOL reading that you can just laugh. But anyone that ever said Rosier shouldn't be here is dumb af. At worst he was a 2nd stringer which is vital to a program. He was always important now he is one of the top 3-4 QBs in the ACC.

Didn’t Richt basically say that at one point?

Yep and let's be real here. Malik is making amazing plays. He's winning games.

Hes really not playing all that great though to be honest. Lots of bad decisions, terrible throws, baffling decisions.

He can be so much better. Not complaining, just saying.

Gotta give 95% of the 2016 class to Al too. He recruited almost all of them. Rick did a good job holding onto Al's guys. The first real Rick class is 2017.

Diaz credited the last staff for bringing in the three linebackers, for what it's worth.

Who had more players drafted in the first and second rounds. Al Golden or Randy Shannon?

I don't see anybody else making lists, even though I know 83 percent of you would say "everyone is gonna be a great player and excellent contributor homer bull****." Rok puts himself out there, you gotta respect that.

In fairness to Golden he did have an eye for talent especially TEs. He was handicapped by the probation years he walked into and, oh yeah,
his loyalty to donut.

Not to disparage anyone, but I distinctly remember some posters giving props to Golden's staff at first for getting "the most" out of Shannon's JAGs....Ben Jones ring a bell.

You're all right, Larusso.

The rest of you can blow me where the pampers is.

He is obviously wrong on Mahoney, Shirrefs, Gordnier and Rosier, but correct on the others.

Regardless, with the transfers, ~76% of that list is solid and belongs here. If you include the transfers (2 others), then 83% are valuable. Those are solid players and indicative of why the team is top 10. Miami can still recruit, even with Dumb and Dumber at the helm. Also, keep in mind that this is our nadir. With next year's class you are elite....

This thread should have never neen made. None of us knows what goes down inside the Hecht.
