All the best Pete. Use your young years to the max............you'll never have as much **** and vinegar, to combine with a fair bit of maturity as you will over the next 5 years, so use them wisely and enjoy the ride. Aim high!

****...

This absoluetly sucks, I appreciate everything you did for us Pete & it's almost unbelievable how much work you really put in for us all.

This place will never be the same without Pete, whether you think so or not there will be a huge void left without him.

Whoever his supposed replacement will be will have next to impossible shoes to fill, yall better get comfortable with Ivins because I don't see another "plug" with more electricity than Pete.

God Bless you Pete, I hope you can still come back from time to time & chop it up with us.

wow.we could have withstood losing TY and PS jr but to now lose Pete this is turning into a baaaad recruiting year.

But you have to do what will feed your family so good luck in whatever endeavor you are heading into.

You were the reason I left a site I had been on for years but it was worth it to have gotten your inside info over these few short months since I joined.

GOOD LUCK YOUNG MAN !!!!

For those who’ve speculated, no I am not involved with Pete stepping down. I really appreciate all the hard work Pete put into this site to make it what it is today. Maybe I would’ve had a 4.0 if I wasn’t on here during most of my classes but I’ve always had to get my fix. Best of luck Pete on your next chapter.

Much respect to Pete and his hustle.

When you look at what he accomplished compared to professionals with careers who were compensated and had years of experience, it was truly impressive. In his run here, he was literally running circles around people who are paid salaries to do this for a living.

What makes it even more impressive is he did it as a young high school and college student with little to no compensation and only his hustle, hard work and wits to get him through.

But like all good things, it now comes to an end. I suspect he’ll be very difficult to replace, especially since I’m virtually certain Richt is tightening up things in the athletic department and sources will be a little more tight lipped, as they have been lately, and as one would expect in a more professionally run organization. Getting player and family access is no easy task either, and going forward that is what the different services will be fighting for.

Good luck Pete.

Go make your money in your chosen profession. There are plenty of opportunities for hard workers that are smart, have the hustle, are full of **** and vinegar, and are willing to work hard. In many different areas.

I would like to start by apologizing to anybody who I have lashed out at over the last few months. I have been in a transition period of my life and it has led to me acting like a fool and doing/saying things out of frustration that were out of character and immature. There is no excuse for the way I’ve handled some situations, but that does not change the fact it happened so I wanted to acknowledge that.

Since I was 15 years old, I’ve devoted my time to covering the Hurricanes and recruiting. It was my passion and dream to be in the media field and I’ve been beyond lucky to be given incredible opportunities to do so over the past 8 years. However, as I’m sure many of you have experienced yourselves, life changes your outlook on certain things and the path that you thought was right for you, might not be anymore. I am moving on to follow a different avenue and pursue opportunities outside of this field.

I want to thank you all for your support of my work over the years and helping push me to where I am today. The Hurricanes fans are the best in the world. Nobody outside of this fan base will ever understand what it means to truly bleed orange and green. You guys built this place.

I specifically owe a lot to DMoney, who has been a mentor and guided me along the way. He gave me the chance of a lifetime to run this site and we went head-to-head with some of the most established media organizations in the country to deliver the best information possible about the program that you all love. This website will still be here and the community that you all built will always have a special place in my heart.

Thank you to Brett and CanesWear for helping make the Canesinsight podcast as successful as it was over the last year and a half. He took a leap of faith in July 2016 and our partnership was special.

A very special thanks to my good friend Jim Sallah and the guys at Sallah, Astarita, and Cox as well.

Thank you to WQAM, Alex Donno, Big O, and Ryan Maguire for extending their platform to me over the last couple years to help promote the Canesinsight brand and believing in me.

To the guys at OTH, it was surreal to work with some of my childhood heroes in a professional capacity. The platform they have created is unprecedented across the college football landscape and I highly suggest checking out their content.

To Will Manso at WPLG and Eric Esteban at Fox Sports Florida, you guys trusted a 22-year old kid to be on TV and helped me fulfill my dream of being an on-camera talent. I cannot put into words how grateful I am for that.

Last but not least, I need to give special recognition to my high school mentors Omar Delgado and Christina Insua, who instilled confidence in me at an early age to follow my dreams in the journalism world.

Please respect my decision. Plug out.
You will be sorely missed. Good luck in whatever endeavor you move pn to.
