Thank you College Gameday

The problem has always been the elitist don’t want to be known as a football school. They’ve always fought against it. This has always been the battle.
Which is crazy because WTF cares. If they don’t care about sports don’t watch it, that’s the only folks talking about Canes. Why wouldn’t you want your school elite at everythiny

You are a f'ng id10t. Go to he11.
Continue to live in a fantasy world where University Presidents are running athletic departments, instead of the people they report to. Again, the University President reports to the governing board. If the University President isn't doing their job, why hasn't the BOT stepped in? Exactly. Mostly because the typical Miami fan has never attended the University, nor actually spent significant time around an alum(There aren't that many of us and a lot of us leave the area after graduation, compared to a state school), there is a weird disconnect between what happens at the University and what fans THINK happens.

You’re an idiot. Are you on the BOT?
If I were on the BOT, why would I say that they are the issue? This is why I can't help but laugh at people like yourself. For us to get the change we need to get, we need to put pressure on the people that can do it. Guess what? That isn't Frenk. It isn't James. The people that can deliver the change and resources needed to win are on the BOT. But because the typical fan doesn't know what the BOT is, nor who is on it, they point to the only administrator they can name.

Other than Kirk giving our Admin some **** I believe our only chance is If the ACC and the other power 5 conferences were gonna drop Miami and make them go group of 5 if the school won’t commit to Sports. Is that our only hope is the conference money going away?
If that's what it takes, I sincerely hope it happens.

Sure.. President doesn't control Athletic Dept.. you forgot to tell that to Shalala.
I graduated from the U and worked there from 1987 to 1996. This administration has screwed the university by destroying once successful programs through mismanagement and lack of accountability. And it continues unabated to this day.

The problem is that the schools that go all in on athletics are also some of the crappiest in the country, the exceptions are usually schools that are so incredibly huge and wealthy that they can do both(Michigan, Texas, Ohio State, Southern Cal). Never mind the fact that financially, Miami cannot and will not spend that way to get there. Miami can and should have a nationally relevant athletic program, and the fact that Miami refuses to hire a competent AD is a huge issue. I blame the BOT because the buck stops with them.

That said, Miami will never be managed like Alabama and that's what the typical Miami fan wants. Miami has to be a well managed boutique firm, that's the only way this thing works.

Are you insinuating Frenk is doing a good job in his role as president?

...This ***** needs fumigation. Tent the MF'er and kill it. Breaks my heart man, seeing theU get dragged through the mud like that.

The only comforting thought is that at least we're not in FSU's situation.

ESPN or any other media outlet does not go all in on a program like this unless they know there are serious, serious issues.

Now. If only the ACC would finally start asking questions of Miami....Do you want to be here or not?

Exactly, the ACC needs to say, "hey, enough suckling at our TV ***" do something to earn your share.
