Thank you Coach Richt!

God he looked awkward walking up there. I probably wouldn't want to be there right now if I were him.

Say what you want, but the guy built some desperately needed infrastructure here. He somehow got the BOT/School to finally spend on the football team, he got a IPF built in 2 years, and made The U feel like a cool place to be again. Not to mention, the guy got fans to show. You can shove it with the "new stadium" is the reason more people showed, no, because the stadium was always in the same location. Dude made our fan base more active even as we went a disappointing 7-5. Going 7-5 with any other coach here and the stadium would of been a graveyard, period. Ask Shannon, Golden what the attendance were after their 7-5 seasons.

Richt isn't a championship level coach but that doesn't mean he isn't a program builder.

No it's unfortunate that the university hired a fraud who refused to implement even the most basic fundamentals of football, practiced blatant nepotism, and didn't hold anyone accountable.

This opinion has been stated ad nauseum. We get it. Richt is no longer our coach. The U Network, something that he created, will benefit untold numbers of players after their playing days are over and you stop giving a **** about them. Could you STFU and say "good job" on this one thing?

Why don't you talk about everything you've done for the program?

Have you worn the jersey? Have you donated $1 million of your own money?

Y'all are absolute clowns trashing someone who has done more for the program than you ever will.

You want better results? Put your money where your mouth is and DONATE.

I mean, this is nice and all, but vast majority of what you're saying here was Blake James not Richt.

To many clowns on here salty like coach richt slept with their girlfriends or something. The man brought respectability back to UM, had to build this program from the ground up, and the amount he accomplished in just 3 short years was impressive. One 7 & 5 or 7 & 6season is still a winning seasoning. He came in and proved once again what he can do when seasoned talent is in place.

The real UM fans understood and understand that coach richt was the real deal, those who view coach richt from his time at UGA and brand him as "not being a championship coach" name one coach who
was a national championship headcoach somewhere else before they came to UM. Coach diaz is taking over a healthy program with better conditioned athletes. I respect a coach who looks out for his staff, so instead of axing any of his staff before year 4, he retired, wasnt going to let some green athletic director try and dictate to him how to run a football program. Coach richt had UM on track, wasnt afraid to make tuff decisions and got things done. Now to all the manny bandwagoneers, he's done some good things here as a d-co, and now he has the overall operation to take care of, alot different from being a coordinator but coach diaz is from here, understands organizational structure, has the mental make up to get it done and guys play hard for em.

His heart is in this all the way so success seems like its on the way but if not you same ones who turned on coach richt overnight will be doing the same thing to coach diaz, wont take alot of yall long, probably after the gaytor game if it doesnt look right.

Bottom line, respect coach richt's accomplishments here, he did a solid job, and his contributions to UM will be felt for years to come, good job coach richt.

I got no animosity towards Richt, I'm just happy he did the right thing stepping down & is no longer running this offense.

The fact he didn't ask for any of the money left on his contract allowed for us to spend top dollar to get Enos & double up the rest of the support staff.
