Thank you Coach L and Seniors for our first Elite 8

Outstanding season for a team that I am proud of. I honestly had very low expectations coming into this year so I have been pleasantly surprised and along for a fun ride. I was a student during the early revival years and remember watching Burns, Brown and Presto play in the very weird Knight Center. I was a season ticket holder for years and can honestly say this was one of the more unexpected teams I have seen.

In the end, I think they just ran out of gas. Playing an intensive active defense on a short bench can be really difficult. I give the young men and Coach L a ton of credit for making it work. But it does not have a lot of room for error Foul trouble and subpar shooting against a team with an equally active defense was just more than they were able to overcome yesterday.

I am super proud of this team. They have a lot to replace for next year but I am looking forward to it.
