didn't elder get badly burned on that game clinching reception against cincy? but didn't hear anybody say anything. to blame any player under this staff is down right ridiculous. we're dealing with possibly the worst assembly of college coaches to ever exist in power 5 conf college football.
Yeah, let's site one play where Elder got beat and compare it to Howard getting beat every game
And please explain to me exactly how you DON'T BLAME ELDER on that play? He was in press coverage and the WR shook him out of his cleats. That's on Elder not on the coaches.
no there have been others. and burns has been beat plenty of times this year as well. especially in the nebraska game. all of our dbs struggle and even though ones who seemed to have ball skills in high school have seemed to regress in that area. seriously don't know what your weird beef is with howard. is it something personal?
My beef isn't with Howard, it's with posters making asinine statements such as "this scheme is ruining Howard's career". I've heard that dumb a$$ statement on this board a hundred times and there's never any proof/substance/logic behind it. When asked HOW, nobody ever provides an answer.
It's always "this staff sucks, look what they did to Howard!" How 'bout the staff sucks but (also) Howard just isn't that good? Perhaps he was slightly overrated and that's why he's being out-played by a less-heralded kid from Tennessee?
If you're gonna tie a kid's failures to the coaching staff at least provide an answer as to HOW they're making him worse. (i.e. asking Chad Thomas to play 2-gap technique instead of coming off the edge every play)
well hasn't asking many of our dbs to play 15 yds off the ball in critical situations an example of setting our guys up for failure? even if you don't believe the scheme ruined howard's career you can't argue that it does anything to help it either.
Except we don't do that. Show me where our CB's are 15 yards off the ball. (or even half that distance)
