Real football program
That doesn’t win anything either
Real football program
Nobody, at least not me said firing a dc or position coach can’t be done. It’s the firing a HC after 1 szn or a 8 win szn that is unrealistic. Even with the firing of Herman it’s kind of questionable if your replacement isn’t a top tier coach. But for them they got the bread...we are not Texas. Never have been bro. But as far as firing assistants we have seen that done dating back through Coker and Shannon and manny just last year
Texas wasn’t going to pull a UF/Auburn and fire the HC without his replacement already in place. They didn’t want that embarrassment.Supposedly Texas was vetting Sark behind the scenes while the conversations with Urban Meyer were going on.
Oil money ain’t like other money fam. It just different.
New twist
Lol why? Alabama Offense has been dominant under his watch.
He has.
NFL play calling experience
Play calling experience at Washington, USC and Alabama
Head Coaching experience at Washington and USC.
He just hit the bottle back then but he's focused now and a really solid coach, he's players love him at alabama and he does wonders with QBs. If we're being honest Sark wouldn't even take our HC job lol. He turned Down Auburn with all their Resource's

Players notified?I think it’s Gruden now
Too bad it’s Jay Gruden.Players notified?
And some coordinators recognize that ceiling. Brent Venables is the prime example. He’s had multiple opportunities for big jobs (could’ve had ours twice if he wanted) but he’s never shown an interest. For some guys it’s about job security and recognizing their limit.you’re right but at the end of the day, some dudes are simply better at being a coordinator rather than being the HC. Different skill sets.
Don't f4 get bout taint! They got big bags as well! We’re not Texas. It’s about the only school that can compete with Alabama financially.
That said, Texas has spent absurd amounts of money in the last decade trying to right the ship. This hire had better be right, because if it’s not they’ll end up further behind. Each regime change brings roster attrition, and the new coach brings in their own people. We found that out with our three regimes in the last decade. FSU is finding this out presently.
This will be the fourth coaching regime at Texas in the last ten years.
I used to be willing to give a coach 5 yrs, but data now shows by year 4 u should see the dividends, but year 3 will tell u if year 4 is warranted.
It's not just about donors caring, it's about the number and wealth of the boosters. The athletic boosters alone at Texas could probably buy the entire University of Miami.I live in Austin and it might be a more poorly run AD than Miami's. Difference is, their donors actually give a **** and are willing to pony the money up to buy out coaches but it's been one ****** hire after another.
Lol Enos is like the one ex-Saban coach that completely bombed. Just like Tate Martell was the one QB on an OSU roster in 10 years that was a complete bust. Our level of bad luck is unparalleled. And that ****** Enos we got last year??
