Texas fires Tom Herman

Disagree. Shalala wanted a yes man. She’s gone. Frenks doesn’t care about sports.

We need new leadership that is a good sales man who can raise money and sell good coaches to come to Miami. Additionally, someone who has high sports IQ.
LOL. You must be new to this. Paul Dee was Tad Foote's yes man too… Botch, Coker and Shannon later and we see the mess he left us with.

I didn’t like Paul Dee but I was told he was very knowledgeable of sports and had good ideas.

Would NOt be a good place for a recovering alcoholic to go With all the expectations. Sark is not anything special as a hc anyway. but I was told they were going to give urban a $100m deal because they have all the money in the world...

U r literally arguing something I’m not remotely saying.

But since u want to go that route......

U know what? Naw, I’ve already addressed this in another thread. I neither have the time or effort. U’re an alum, and by a lot of ur arguments on here, u seem to be fine w/ what’s going on, which exposes why mediocrity, the finger pointing, and excuses r so accepted & peddled

I’m not fine with what’s going on. I’m not fine with a lot of stuff.

I’m just not a clueless non-stakeholder that bltches at every opportunity.

It’s been 3 days since the bowl. I don’t care when they fire the defensive staff as long as it a few weeks before spring practice.

But people want to bltch about the timing, which is totally insignificant.

Imagine having that kind of money to throw around...

...and you hire Steve Sarkisian.
Hate to be a Texas right now... like you said it’s one thing if you don’t have the oil money they do and wish to make big moves.

but YOU ARE THE BIG OIL MONEY and you still make underwhelming hires lmao

embarrassing

But I thought Texas was supposed to be an example of a program that cared about football?
They do care about football. The boosters are too powerful, almost. Lots of money to spend but can’t seem to find right HC. It not for Vince Young they would not have a NC since the early 70s.

The Longhorns are the Dallas Cowboys of college football, their boosters collectively Jerry Jones.

No; ppl r NOT *****ing about the timing; what they r *****ing about are apologist coming on here saying “firings don’t work like that”, when that is absurdly false. It’s the double standard that we spew here in defense of a program that grossly settles for mediocrity for almost 20 yrs.

Furthermore, let me stop u & other alums right now; I’m a little sick of the pompous remarks. If we’ve ever contributed, donated, purchased tickets, a TV package, or any sort of UM merch, that makes us a stake-holder. It doesn’t mean chit if some have a degree that says Miami or not. The fact is, it’s the non alums that feed this program. Majority of the alumni base don’t even follow the program, it’s us non alums that give a flying fck about what’s going on here. U can’t bytch & cry about “but, but, but, we don’t have the alumni base like these public schools do”, then turn around and make slighted comments to the ones that fill in for the lack of alumni.

So respectfully, I would appreciate the cease & desist of the snide remarks about any of our involvement & connection to the program. U graduated from Miami; and u r to be both commended & respected for it. But for all you know, some ppl names may be etched on the IPF for giving money & they never stepped foot in a classroom. 👀👀
