Have you seen what these other schools are spending? Furthermore, who else wanted the job? Not Saban. Not Swinney. Not Venable. Not Cristobal. Not Meyer or another top shelf coach. So how do we people who have no interest in the job? I'm all ears.

U know what? Naw, I’ve already addressed this in another thread. I neither have the time or effort. U’re an alum, and by a lot of ur arguments on here, u seem to be fine w/ what’s going on, which exposes why mediocrity, the finger pointing, and excuses r so accepted & peddled

You've missed the point.

We ****ed away $4m to buy out Diaz's contract with Temple. A guy that had been in the building for three years that we let walk the week prior.

If we can afford to do that, regardless of who else was interested (as the coaching search lasted approximately 12 minutes we'll never know who was interested), then money clearly isn't an issue for Miami.

Disagree. Shalala wanted a yes man. She’s gone. Frenks doesn’t care about sports.

We need new leadership that is a good sales man who can raise money and sell good coaches to come to Miami. Additionally, someone who has high sports IQ.

Texas gives a ****. Miami doesn’t.

I’ll always be a Miami fan because that’s where I got my undergrad degree, but living in Texas for the past decade, I’ll have to start following the Longhorns as well. Be nice to root for a team that’s willing to do what it takes to win, instead of hiring AD’s and coaches with no experience and then not holding them accountable for anything.

At least Texas admin and BOT give a ****.
