Texas A&M thread

Think some of you are underestimating their capabilities. They have some clear lows, but they have a gear on offense we haven’t seen. Let’s just hope they can’t turn it on during our game. If I were them, I’d 100% focus on our LBs and zone coverages. There are plays to be made there. The hope is our DL aggressively rushes while not giving Reed free lanes to influence the game with his feet. Watch the second half of the South Carolina game. TAMU’s OC had some nice pass concepts that created big plays. They also have some athletes that can move.

Not saying we should be scared. The opposite. We should be ultra focused on what they’re capable of and make them uncomfortable with sound defense instead of expecting Reed to just be wild.

Great athletes that can make up a lot of points quickly (see USCe game). They have a stellar athlete at QB and 2 super dynamic WRs. Their hallmark,. though, is their tough trenches - physical OL and DL makes them formidable. And yeah, I have nightmares about wes and Mo in coverage.

They’re feast or famine on offense. If you tackle well and don’t get beat over the top, you have a good chance to keep them in check. Reed isn’t gonna sit in the pocket and pick you apart for 4 quarters.

Texas A&M is a tough matchup. Jennings hurt us more than any other quarterback, and Reed is a more athletic version. He can outrun our ends. They are good up front and have the most explosive wide receiver group we've seen this year.

Glad Hetherman has two weeks to work.

Yep, going to be a tough match up, would help if Kionte Scott is back

I’ve watched them all year, they have 2 really explosive receivers, good veteran oline, and a defensive line that brings pressure. Reed is also a good QB that can hurt you with his arm and legs. We’re gonna have our work cut out, if we can protect Beck, and limit big plays we’ll win
Lol that's the big factor people are overlooking that we have a pocket passer that the Aggs are looking to exploit with their blitz packages. OSU and Georgia is only better

A&M is explosive on offense no doubt. but they have played the bottom half of the sec for the entire season plus notre dame. They haven’t been challenged at all with what Miami has on defense. Should be interesting plus yes they are talented on defense but if you watch the games there are leaks on that defense. Howell as I stated before is a very good pass rusher

We’re gonna have to counter blitzes, if we can run the ball well that would also help

On the way down, not dominant, and scoring points is their strength. I'd rather play them than OU. We need a team beck can excel against. Our strengths OL and Defense get to go against their strength.

Whereas OUs defense is absurd and that game could go either way depending on beck
Naw bro. OU has no running game. We would have matched up against them real good. That qb is bad.

Cover 3 and Cover 4. Honestly Notre Dame did a great job keeping everything in front of them with this team. Both leading receivers are under 6 ft. 5'11 and 5'9 that should tell you all you need to know. They will try to overpower us up front first... Marcel Reed will run and force our DBs to keep their eyes in the back field to open up his little fast receivers. 1 high Safety and bring the pressure. Some stunts to close run lanes for Reed. Give him different looks... 1, 7, and Reed. That's it.
