They are a good team. Definitely have some warts they I think Texas exposed. The DL needs to win their matchups. Play solid in the back end. No busts, no miscommunications, etc. Their defense can let some plays happen. It won’t be easy. But I agree, I think we can win.

They’re only -3.5 at home. Very even teams.

They have a little better offense than we do. We have a little better defense than they do.

Very balanced on offense. They can get 150 running and 200 throwing on you in a heartbeat. But they did have their worst offensive game of the season, by far, last time out against Texas. Only scored 3 in the first half against South Carolina. I think he can, and will, hold them under 30.

Oregon, Miami, and A&M are the 3 best teams in the entire first round.
 
I saw them play at ND week 2.

Reed is very streaky. He looks like junk one minute and is dropping dimes the next. My memory is that ND tried to pressure with 4 all game and didn’t get a lot of pressure on Reed. A&Ms WRs Craver and Concepcion are dynamic and fast as ****. ND largely played off coverage and still got burnt a few times on a deep ball to Craver and some catch and run stuff.

A&Ms defense was mediocre. ND moved the ball pretty easily on the ground and in the air.

ND had a special teams TD (punt block) but Buchner also dropped the snap on an extra point, which ended up being the difference.

Think we mainly just need to limit the explosives when they are on offense and try to limit Craver and Concepcion. Make Reed earn it every yard and try to force him into mistakes.

Texas A&M is:

Trending in the wrong direction
Gave up a LOT of points to some bad teams
Had a very weak conference schedule

Overall, they're very beatable and honestly, I'm surprised they're favorites with how both teams ended the season.

They barely survived S.Car and then got manhandled by Texas in their last 2 meaningful games while we overachieved toward the end of November.

want to know why Jeff and rece didn’t want us in. They know what’s about to happen. besides Beck throwing like a ding dong and whatever the **** the coaches were doing for SMU. We can and will smash everyone. They just opened Pandora’s box. And I’m calling it now we smash this team like we did ND but this time in the 4th we keep going. Book it.
