What about Butchs old scheme of putting some of the speedsters on track scholarships to free up more open spots? Wouldn’t Curtis be the perfect candidate for that option?

Seriously? Can we please stop this?

That worked 25 years ago, and then the NCAA rules were changed about 24 years, 11 months, and 30 days ago.

Everything is UT on his Twitter page still if that means anything.

I just took another peak at our class and I am not seeing all these guys that are "drop" worthy. I wouldnt drop anyone. The only person I would consider is Collins and thats only because JHH has really blossomed alot faster than anyone thought. So we could sign 2 DTs and be just fine depth wise. Other than that, I wouldnt drop a single person on our list.

And furthermore, if I had a choice between taking a QB that doesnt fit our system (Garcia) or just taking one to fill a space in the QB Room over taking T2...its not even a choice..im taking T2. We need LB help BAD. And you cant let a 5* kid in your own backyard just walk out of here. Especially from a potential pipeline school who has another potential 5* LB coming up the wings in 2022..

This is a no brainer and glad the staff realized that. Getting QBs in the transfer portal seems to be what alot of schools are doing now if they cant land a blue chip kid. The days of settling on some 2-3* QB that will never see the field anyway and just for depth purposes are over I think in college football. .

I’m noW leaning toward sacrificing the QB this year If it means brining in a guy like T2. Worst case they bring in a transfer to compete with Tvd and Kosi next year

QB always takes priority. Every Cane fan should know that given the difference between good and bad QB play.

That being said, we need grad transfer QB, not a recruit. Perry isnt a starter and TVD wont be ready to face Bama in Game 1.

Diaz/Lashlee need another King. So 1 spot has to be saved for that QB transfer

Maybe he's never heard, I mean your acting like this is common knowledge or something lol. Most fans just watch the games on Saturdays with getting into recruiting or the specific of eligibility and scholarships.

Stop it with your dopey nonsense. It IS ABSOLUTELY common knowledge. You are making excuses for ignorance.

Yeah, a guy has specific information on a recruiting loophole from 25 years ago, but somehow doesn't know the rule was changed 24 years ago. Riiight. Keep making excuses.

And for 24 years, he has somehow MISSED all the discussion on this. Yeah, not likely.

Everyone keep talking about taking a QB in the transfer portal to free up a spot for another position in this class as if transfer portal guys don't take up an IC. If you are looking for a 2021 starting QB in the portal, you want him here for Spring, or at the worst, early summer. We would need to hold back an IC spot for a transfer.

Wondering if T2 's father wants him at Miami more than the kid wants to be at Miami.
Don’t matter don’t care. When a parent wants a kid at a school that’s not Miami. They go to that school. We need more parents with common sense that’s not going to send some kid from dade county to country *** Tennessee and have them in the portal a year or two later.

It is definitely not common sense... You are just assuming that everyone knows this because you do. He wouldn't be asking the question if he knew the answer.
