Maybe with Jarren gone Ivey will take his opportunity seriously and stop smoking... maybe.

He got beat at times in that game and vs fiu, but still doesn’t erase what he did in the season as a whole. He plays cb so of course they will get beat at times
Continued development is the key... I might be doubtful but i haven't lost hope.

I still have flashbacks of the fake punt where Ivey let the gunner go right past him. I still don’t understand what happened. After all, we kept our defense on the field to guard against the fake punt.
I am not sure anyone has that answer!!!

I agree but I’ve seen to many times when our guys were in position and if only they turned around it was an easy pick

I just feel to take that next step our guys need to do a better job of tracking the ball
Yeah but if you in man free with no help I wouldn’t want my DBs gambling like that..just play your technique..it’s easy too say that as a fan tho

Blades looks solid to me. I also don’t think Ivey is as bad as people acted last year. He got outhustled for a lot of balls he was in position for. He can toughen up there.

Ivey spent most of his Soph year looking like a low 2-star true freshman that enrolled a week ago and was a converted WR within the last week. He played like he was in simultaneous pie and chili eating contests after not sleeping for a month and recently contracting coronavirus.

He was absolutely awful.

Whatever helps you sleep at night

Going in on ivey smh..fact is he and blades shouldn’t have had to play that early and that much if the CBs numbers were ideal..from a recruiting and attrition standpoint. Unless it’s a elite prospect your gonna see growing big time from a young first year starting CB..that’s just fact..u saw it with Brandon Harris, Brandon McGee, Van Dyke, Tracy, Burns..you go down the list of young Corners we’ve played early and you’ll find they all struggled.

Blades did not play great, was he better than Ivey and do I think he will take an even bigger step next season, yes, but he did not play great this season.

Every year young cbs play early, a sophomore cb playing their 2nd year is not out of the norm

It wasn’t a weed test that Ivey failed, not sure that’s why weed is being insinuated.

bc the rumor is lawrence told coaches his host decided to smoke up rather than host the kid. and i think people assumed weed for faield drug test from the barry report. of course, theyre only gonna leak the weed part and keep the rest under wraps

I thought blades played really well last year. It made no sense that Ivey started all the games over him.
Like patchan over GR15. That’s on manny and baker- can’t blame offense or Enos for that. Tells me our coaches can’t readily evaluate or develop talent.
