Gus Edwards is still eyeing a potential graduate transfer to either Rutgers or Syracuse -- it would give him the chance to be more of the main option at a program close to home. He is set to graduate in May and would not be required to sit out.

You would think Njoku leaving for the league becomes a selling point for McKitty.

Also, I guess that idea of Homer trying CB diminishes

So once again freshmen are suspended. If it's Ced Wrugjt that would be his second and possibly be making his way out of the program soon. Same as Haskins. Are these guys still hanging with Bruce and smoking weed?

RB Depth looking rough now with Yearby and Edwards leaving.

Walton
Homer - IMO he's going be great and give us a breakaway speed element

Then have to hope that McFarland or Burns can contribute right away (both have been injury prone)

This is why I don't like the new way the NFL does the Draft evaluations for kids. They offer 3 grades- Potential 1st Rounder, Potential 2nd Rounder or Neither. Too many kids get that "Neither" and probably assume they're sitting right outside the 1st two rounds and can move up with a good Combine or Pro Day. I personally like Njoku as a pro but I bet he doesn't go before the 4th round if the supposed Draftniks are even close to right. Hopefully the kid isn't sacrificing a lot of money AND the chance to play with his brother.

So everyone I thought was leaving is leaving.

Jenkins does idiot things on the field and it's his fault his PT is cut ofcourse he won't blame himself. I felt he was disconnected towards the end of the season.

Gus isn't suprising either. I'm ready for Homer to get some PT anyway. Good luck getting to the next level.

Njoku is already getting some first round buzz. After workouts, he's probably a lock for 2nd round or better

They were testing Homer there to see if they maybe had something special. Heard he was good but they really like him on offense.

Any lack of production the Njoku doubters have been hanging on to will be offset by his combine numbers. NFL GM's are in love with athletic TE's, especially miami bred.

Never mind I forgot about Gray

This is all bad news. We may be high on their replacements but the fact is we need depth still

Njoku is the only real loss IMO

That's too strong Pete. Gus and Courtel would both be losses. Huge losses? No, but from experience and depth perspectives, they are still legit losses.

We will disagree. Don't think they have any effect on W/L total.

If we stay mostly injury-free at those positions, you will probably be right.

Well that's confusing on Gus. I thought the move to play him over Yearby was because of the change of pace as a back. Seems like we played him to keep him on board and now he and Joe are leaving. I know Joe was going anyway but **** that leaves us a little light from the experience department. What gives Pete?

Dont need experince at rb. The easiest position in football at any level to play right away.

I've been saying since his Freshmen year Gus will transfer to Cuse. If the dude was tough, he'd play FB and be an interesting wrinkle. Only disappointment if Gus and Joe leave is that we would have tremendous depth at running back. The way it should be at Miami.

Courtel you could see from a mile away. Stuck behind two studs.

I think Anthony Moten could be a candidate despite decent play time. No knowledge of the situations, but I saw him after a few games sulking and body language just looked like he was unhappy.

Njoku stings. I still think he needed one more year to solidify that first round selection.

Well he absolutely should go then. My issue would be IF he got an evaluation back that said he wasn't a 1st or 2nd rounder and then he somehow works his way into the 1st round at the Combine. This whole Draft evaluation process by the NFL advisory committee is almost pointless then.
