Having a QB that is good at something will always kill the defense. Trevor Lawrence didn't beat Saban with his legs or from extending plays. He just sat in the pocket and lit the field up. Same thing with the current Saban offense...Both Clemson/Bama ditched a more athletic QB who could extend plays for days (Kelly Bryant and Jalen Hurts) for a QB who had better arm talent.
But regardless, that's not Miami. We have a different offensive scheme, different skill sets across the board, and different body types. Its a bit extreme, but the best QB to run say an Art Briles offense, may not do too well in the offense Dan Enos feels comfortable running.
