In TAMUs first game against Sam Houston, here's how their possessions went
1st half
Punt, missed FG, TD (66 yard pass), punt, INT, FG, Punt, TD (63 yard pass)
2nd half
TD (12 plays), INT, TD (43 yards), Punt
So besides the opening drive of the 2nd half, basically the only way they can score is hitting a deep pass.
TAMU rushed for 110 yards- 35 of those were from the QB.
Against the App Store, TAMU ran for 89 yards, and 23 came from King.
Their OL doesnt seem particularly good at run blocking.
Bottom line - just make sure no WRs get behind the D and TAMU will have trouble moving the ball and putting up points. I expect Mario Runtheball will lean on his formula of heavy dose of the run game, eat clock, and play D- which might actually be a decent strategy against TAMU.
