Maybe we should take the player's word with a grain of salt. They all say the same thing regardless of the staff. Could just be sour grapes.

"This kid got PT over me bc of star rating" or maybe he just had more upside and you two were pretty even right now
Cognitive dissonance is a dangerous thing.

The player’s statements are consistent with the crap show that we saw on display this past season, not only on the field, but also on the sidelines. Multiple coaches disengaged during games. No cohesion at all on offense or defense. Horrible performance by all from top to bottom.

Ignore at your own risk.

Hopefully this abomination of a season humbled Mario enough to where he has learned some very valuable lessons.

None of this is shocking news. It’s pretty much national news that the coaches didn’t get along and a lot of the players hated certain coaches. It’s also not that odd that the offense and defense weren’t getting along. That happens a lot when one side isn’t pulling their weight. Although our defense was generally bad too so they don’t have room to talk.

The only thing I have issue with is a walk-on complaining about reps being given to higher rated players. First off, dude you’re a walk-on, you’re here to be a tackling dummy for the practice squad. Secondly, we were trotting out three star guys and a Juco transfer at WR while our highest rated recruits at the position never even played. Unless you still want to count Ladson’s high school ranking and not his transfer ranking. I didn’t see any kind of staff favortism at that position

Walk-on WR crying about stars when we've got a 3* slot WR starting the season until he got hurt and a 3* JUCO showing up in the summer and snatching a starting spot by game 6 (and leading all WRs in yards and TDs). Brinson was the highest rated 2021 WR and he got no burn. Horton has 4 stars and barely played. The only guy getting burn because of the stars next to his name at WR was maybe Ladson.

So some walkon WR is upset he can't get burn at a position where we looked like dog**** (and our leading pass catcher was our TE) and started multiple 3*s, but it's because of stars? No, son. Do the work. Make it impossible to deny your skills. Until then, be thankful these new benches aren't made of cheap wood.
That's what I was thinking.
Not sure which position other then maybe safety where the highest rated players were playing, mind you those safeties were the best of that position group.
Is someone better then TVD? No, the highest rated RB didn't start or play, the highest rated WRs didn't play as much, OL unlikely cause everyone and their mothers got hurt, DL was rotation and is was a combination of rated player, LB Wesley was the highest rated and played part time later in the season.
This is a pretty wild accusation.
The defense vs offense thing played out but that was during the Right era when Diaz had the chain while Right offense was struggling, and that was on Diaz when he took over for HC and said, and I'm paraphrasing, we're going to take that energy and excitement over to the offense, but that was yeeeears ago.
But yeah this year, hard to be excited on either side of the ball, so I can see guys just being ***** about being on a garbage team in general.

I remember being on a business trip to Chicago a few years ago, so of course I had to try Giordanos. I remember thinking 'I just waiting 87 hours for this?!?'.

If we're talking pizza that's not real pizza... Detroit > Chicago.

Yeah my wife and I hit up all of the recommended deep dish places in Chicago a few years ago. Neither of us liked any of them. **** "pizza"

When Mario hired his staff I was thinking all these ultra experience coaches, why were they even available. After this past season results, he now know why.

Detroit and chicago style are both outstanding cold weather food. Gotta go pepperoni on detroit style and sausage on chicago style.

Ever been in a locker room of a team with a losing record that's a positive atmosphere?

Based on what I've heard, if the 2001 team had a losing record you could have described that locker room as toxic. Winning changes the narrative.
It was high school but yes I have, 3x off the top of my head. Won more games the next year 2 of the 3x. You can have great guys in the room that are a year away physically, tactically, and technically

Giordanos is overrated. There's at least two other places I'd get deep dish in the Chicago area before that place.

Usually when offense and defense hate each other. One is really really good and the other sucks. Considering what was taking place last year, the offence and defense should have loved each other.

But losing does that to teams
